Love Longhairs.I have been using it for many years. I was a Magic Packer for a couple of years, but had to go back to the Duo. But even
so, the Duo is better than ANYTHING else I can find.It is SOOOOOOO much better than commercially available shampoo and conditioners that there really is no comparison. I just have to stop giving away samples of my shampoo and conditioner to friends – some of whom have ordered their own, and some who had gone through illness and appreciated the benefits during their illnesses but returned to the bad stuff when they got better – you would think they would have figured it out! Thank you Louise-Marie Longhairs!

Looked LONGER when I left!

I came in for my first appointment at Longhairs Non-Salon and didn’t know exactly what to expect.
Well, I’m soooo glad I came!
After working on my hair for nearly 1.5 hours, guess what? It looked longer and better than it EVER has, in my whole life.
New people should just trust her. Trust her because she means so well, she pays intense attention to detail, she really takes her time, she lovingly cuts trims re-aligns the hair like promised. I’ve never seen anyone do anything like she does, before. I am SO pleased! My hair moves sexy, it wraps around me when I turn, doesn’t tangle or look stringy dull split or frizzy anymore.
Worth every penny too.
Needless to say I left with some special vitamin spray, and a bigger Barebones 16oz beginners kit because I never want to run out.

hair is to the small of my back, and I didn’t want another hack job
that only looked good blow-dried. I was on a mission! I searched high,

I have just visited Louise Marie Longhairs for the first time in 5 years. Last visit was my first. So for five years I have been a member and I have to say, my hair is phenomenally different from when I started! I came in with frizzy, silicone-y, thin, dry, yucky hair. Now, after five years, even Louise Marie said, “I’m proud of your progress”.
What more can I say. The old hair is ALL gone, and the new hair is fabulous. It’s soft, way thicker — all the way to the ends — NO DAMAGE!! She gave me a fantastic trim and shaping that looks and makes me feel like a model.
When I first came, she cleaned my scalp and helped me clean up my act. Now I finally have the hope of having the amazing, below hip-length hair that I’ve always wanted because my hair is like ‘virgin hair’ that has never been cut and has no damage!

Very impressed so far…. two thumbs up..

I got my stuff yesterday! I’m so excited!

This is to let you know how my first 2 shampooings went…you’ll have to let me know how often and in how much detail I should get back to you…

First I used the #2 followed by the #9. My hair felt very, very clean, and I noticed some nice reddish highlights…have they just been covered up by the silicones I’ve been using :-p? I was a little worried about tangling, but I used the Magic Spray and had no problems…I guess I’m paranoid…I’ve had some bad experiences with salon shampoos in the past. I used another brand of products for a little while, and my hair was a tangled mess! No such problems here, though.

Last night I used the SOS scalp oil, which felt very nice.

Today I used the #7 with the #10 conditioner. The highlights are still there, maybe ’cause my hair’s so CLEAN! I especially like the weight of my hair, no flyaways, even feels a little heavier… I am very impressed with the Magic Spray. I used to use the another brand’s pour-on conditioner products for a while too, I thought it was good for untangling (silicones again) but then got sticky…got no stickiness with the #11 Magic Spray, instead!

Just to give you an update…my hair is 29″ measuring from the top of my head, 23″ from the nape (it grew!!!!!), and is a little past waist-length. I’m aiming for mid-thigh. It’s light brown with gold & reddish highlights, tends to lighten especially around my face, during the summer…I want to avoid the blond look if possible, it’s getting darker & I want to play up the brown more than the gold.

I do have problems with the ends…I trimmed quite a bit off about 8 months ago (2″) which has grown back out now. As you said,..now I snip off the split ends (there are lots) with a little pair of scissors whenever I get the chance. I think I’m still growing out some previous damage from when my hair was fairly long but I wasn’t taking care of it.

Very impressed so far….two thumbs up and I can’t wait to hear what you suggest! Recommended you to two other people so far!!!

Today after my work out I used #18 SOS Scalp Oil, shampooed (2 lathers) with #2 Superclear, conditioned with #9 Trees Conditioner, combed it through, blanched, towel dried, retreated with a bit of #10-B Protein Conditioner, and then added some #14 styling aid, and my hair is curling like it used to when I was little!!!

These products truly do work.I first came to know about Louise Marie ™s products and methods for hair, beauty, and whole health in the autumn of 2006.I was entering the final stages of menopause and did not understand what was happening to my health and hair-especially my hair.Because I was over weight (still am!), my doctor put me on a very restrictive low fat diet, which, unbeknown to me, had begun the process of me losing more than just weight. My hair began to fall out by the handful.
It had gotten to the point where I had to cut my hip length hair to my shoulders.

#13-B Blisstips Solid Balm, I’ll put it on in the car!

I just love my “#13-B Blisstips Solid Balm Longhairs® Deep Oil Treatment”… and here’s why: I use Blisstips on my ends before air travel, or really long road trips … or if I’m a passenger in the car, I’ll put it on in the car!
Solid balm works better for this, so that I’m not worried about spilling the oil. Be sure to rest your fingers on the balm like Louise-Marie says, or else you get little clumps of balm.

I was such a skeptic…

I was such a skeptic when I first started using LML’s stuff. Believe me, I’ve tried everything from high-end products to bargain products and nothing seemed to work for more than 2 weeks. Lots of movement without tangles !…

Dear Louise Marie,

You cut my hair around 2 years ago. It was the best haircut I have ever received. My hair had lots of movement without tangles ! I did move away shortly after, and went somewhere closer to my new home, (a well known salon) The man who cut my hair there, was shocked at the quality of my previous cut by you and how long I had gone inbetween cuts. I want to to tell all people who read this, what a high quality style I have experienced at Longhairs Salon, and that they MUST try it. It’s well worth it, you can’t get any better than this!

just a quick note to confirm what i told you about what i can now do with my (waistlength) hair.

As it was growing longer, i couldn’t tie it up in a bun any more. it was too heavy, too slippery, and the bun would always end up undoing itself. But after one month with the BTN duo (LONGHAIRS® BTN Duo Beginners Kit), i can now tie it up in a knot, and it stays in place with chinese chopsticks. i have used several variations on the bun (twist, with chopsticks, with a second elastic, etc.). i never use more than one or two bobby pins, and my hair always stays in place for the full day.

so. you were right about that. It’s weak hair, NOT long hair, that cannot sustain a bun or a french twist.

My 1 yr anniversary

Dear members,

It’s been almost a year now, since I have been using Louise Marie Longhairs products ONLY. I must say that my hair is softer–no more straw, it is NEVER as tangly as it used to be. All in all, it is in better condition than ever!

I would like to share this with others: When I first started I was concerned about which shampoo or conditioner to use, but in this first year using Louise Marie Longhairs products, I have realized that it really doesn’t matter—each shampoo and conditioner has something that your hair needs right now. Which shampoo is my favorite??? The one I used today!! I do use each shampoo for 3 days in a row, as suggested. I would also like to add, it has taken almost a year for my hair to take the Sofn shampoos well and also to take the 10B correctly. It took about 6 months to get all the silicones and glycols out, with LML’s help. I have colored red hair–the hardest color to keep in your hair, but LML’s products keep the color in. I used to have color on everything that my hair touched, my clothes, my towels, my pillowcase. Now I have white sheets and no pink pillowcase!! Now I would never want to be without my #18 scalp oil, #27 Chillout spray-nothing like it to cool off in humid weather, #13 on my ponytail ends every night!–also tried it on my shaving rash-cleared up in one day. It takes everyone time to adjust to the products, like Louise Marie Longhairs says, keep using it and you will see!!

As I went home on the subway, an fellow identified as a gang member sat down next to me and looked long and hard at my hair. Finally, he looked up at me (I was standing), made eye contact and nodded. (My husband told me later that he officially put me under his protection, that he approved of me, somehow.)

Later, as I walked from the Keele station to my father-in-law’s place, a panhandler asked for some spare change. Even as I declined, he added on, “Nice hair, lady.”

Paul (my husband) just stared at me: he couldn’t believe how bright my hair was!

Back at work, the custodian asked me if I had gotten my hair streaked or highlighted because it seemed so much brighter. Thank You!!!!

My hair and my inner being are both completely back on track…

I am writing you a short note to express my appreciation for your art. This past Sunday my fiancée came to you, to have her locks operated on. , I am sure you remember us…we were the ones with the longhair…HA !!! As it stands, I love my lady’s lovely hair and I approached your service with the greatest unease. None the less we came into your humble salon and opened ourselves to your skills. Throughout the whole process I sweated internally, dreading the outcome. Before the cutting started I made myself scarce, leaving only to return after the deed was done. Upon my return the job was not quite complete so I lurked in the shadows awaiting the outcome. The moment soon arrived and my lady came into your reception area with her usual gleeful giggle. I lifted my eyes in delay, being asked my opinion. Now I am not one for patronizing tomes, never have been…never will be, so I withheld the obligatory offerings only to state that what I saw was different. I posed the only question of import to me, “do YOU like it honey?” Needless to say she was ecstatic. Good enough for me.

But now if you want my true opinion of your mastery I offer you this. The style and its execution on your part is second to none. For me, I find the cut most intriguing and it displays many vantages to me. It is at one moment sweet and innocent, the next dark and sultry, perhaps even sordid.. .I am so bad. Regardless of this, the experience I adore most about this new look is in the joy of adaptation. Upon closely perusing your work I have noticed the many subtleties of your approach, mostly the way you have crafted the hair to grow into having a natural uncut appearance. Accolades to you Louise Marie. Another lifetime client to add to your list.

My hair has been doing great.

… its growing well and i’m not getting many split ends, which is rather surprising. and when i do notice the split ends, i snip them. i attribute my hair health to your gear. it is the bomb:-)

i’ve also become more aware of handling my hair, which i believe helps alot. i always comb with a wide tooth comb, i do not go near blow dryers, i do not go out with wet hair, and when i am out in the cold, i keep on a hat and keep it tucked in my coat.

…all that together, i’m doing great. i saw my family recently, and my mom was so happy about my hair. she said i finally have my hair back. healthy, full. my “crowning glory” she calls it. thats half the beauty of it – people noticing.

i saw a friend that i haven’t seen in a year and a half, and he was so happy about my hair. i hung out with him for years with my long hair, then i chopped it. now its pretty again. i’ve been religious with your stuff. Susan didn’t seem so convinced last term. now, finally, she is only using your shampoo and conditioner. no more of her old cheap-o brand. i’ll help her out with the oil, because she told me she would give it to me. but i guess i should take her by the hand and lead her to the good hair.

Her hair is dry and very damaged with alot of breakage and splits. yet she still blow dries and it hurts me. maybe you could advise her #11, or something super good to protect from blow dryer damage. so that is all for now. thanks for everything. i don’t know what my hair would be like now without the miraculous louise marie products. it scares me to think……

My hair is growing!!!!

I can see a difference just over the last month or two. YAY!!! My bangs are almost down to my LIPS, and I can bring them over to one side and put them in a little braid (that’s why I need those little bands), so I don’t have to worry about how curly/frizzy they are compared to the rest of my hair, especially on humid/rainy days. I have also cleaned out my vanity. I had a graveyard of styling products (~$200 USD worth, mind you) and I am giving them ALL away, so I am TRULY COMITTING myself to Louise Marie Longhairs. My hair has become so soft since using your products. My hair is in the best condition it has ever been in. I have had a life-long problem with extremely dry, brittle hair whenever I have tried to have a longer length, so I have always had shorter hair.

This product is amazing. i always always put a little in my water bottles -yes Bottles bc now no one has to beg me to drink actual water now.lol

I add a little to my waterpik for dental health, they often instr. not to add salt to reservoir but this is brine so its different than any salts out there… special… important.

I also add a little to my youngest son’s bath. He tends toward dryness and there’s obvious improvement.

Someone who can honestly help me get the hair I want…

I’ve always wanted ‘long’ healthy hair. It’s been 5 years since I started growing it out one length. The crazy thing is, every hairdresser I had, tried to talk me in to a short cut, or took too much off my ends.

I had been bothered by a flaky scalp…

My one year anniversary !

Today is the one year anniversary of my becoming a member. I started by LMLonghairs voyage by a long distance trip to the non-salon where I met Louise Marie and had a “hair changing” experience.

When I first saw LML I had hair just past my shoulders and it was “blunt cut”. I had been growing it out for two years…since experimenting with short hair. I had a bad step in my hair length around my ear. And I had some twizzly hairs that LML showed me as being root damaged hairs.

I won’t go into the details of that first non-salon visit any further. That day I had my fiance take pictures of me (/my hair) from the front and the back so I could compare later. I took home my magicpack and started experiementing. Since that day I have not once used a product other than Louise Marie’s. I have faithfully scrubbed my scalp with #18 every day. ANd, washed every day (rather than my previous every other day). And, the biggest change I made was to wash my hair rightside up in the shower…I had to buy swimmer’s ear plugs to convince myself to do that one.

It’s been a long haul. I’ve struggled with twizzlies. And fuzzies. And dry feeling hair. I’ve learned a lot along the way. My hair has undergone a major shape change after three LML cuts. At this point it is bra strap length (just barely, at the longest point) and has a “natural” curve at the bottom, rather than being blunt cut. My hair feels totally different in texture. A lot less “plastic”. It’s regained some of the colour it had lost (I was becoming more of that sun-bleached straw colour with each passing year). The character of my hair’s shine has totally changed from being a surface gloss (like a polished wax) to being a deep shine. Also, I think my hair is thicker than it used to be. It seems to have more body/volume.

Possibly the best change for my hair has been that I rarely get tangles any more. Even when I wear collars. For most of my life my hair has been this length (except that experimenting with short hair three years ago). All along I had to wear it in ponytails most of hte winter to avoid knots at the nape of my neck. Not any more.

The best change overall has been the total elimination of the eczema from my scalp. I have fairly bad atopic allergic dermatitis and have struggled with it for my whole life. For years I have had to periodically treat my scalp with an alcohol based strong steroid to prevent my eczema patches from getting worse/getting infected. I haven’t had more than a day or two of trouble in the last year. A remarkable turnaround. The skin on my hands and my face has also dramatically improved with use of LML products.

I have an appointment to go see “the hair doctor” next weekend in Toronto. I plan to take my one year anniversary pictures both tonight, and after LMLs ministrations on the weekend. I expect I will see a real difference in the photos.

So, hang tight and keep writing in those Diaries. With Louise Marie’s guidance, and a little bit of patience, you can have the best hair of your life!

This glimmering, holographic effect…

I hardly noticed any difference at all the first two/ three weeks I was using Louise Marie Longhairs’ products. Then, seemingly all of a sudden, there was a softness and a shine to my hair that wasn’t there before.

I mean, my hair had shine previously, but it had begun to show this glimmering, holographic effect.

Then again, I wasn’t washing daily at first due to problems with my last landlady. It’s been about 7 weeks now since I first started. I wash almost every day and my hair is: softer, shinier and has less tangles. Length is still something I’m working on, but I found out during my last visit that I wasn’t using #18 SOS Scalp Oil in the best way possible.

I don’t think healthier (and I’m hoping faster) growing hair is that far away for me.

I just love my “#19 Longhairs® Honey-Bee-Long Deep Treatment”… and here’s why: I have been swimming in a salt-water pool for about 5 years but my hair was still getting chlorine damage. I have the silicone swim caps and was just using a Lycra cap and was not wetting my hair before going in the water. Louise Marie suggested that I wash my hair first and then put on some #19 Longhairs® Honey-Bee-Long Deep Treatment before I put my swim cap on and then rinse it out when I go

I found Louise-Marie Longhairs in 2009. I bought my first Magicpack in October of that year. I never wanted super long hair, but I’m a biracial woman who works outside in the Arizona desert. The heat dries my hair out. Additionally, I’ve never found that conventional mainstream nor African hair products give me good results.

I’ve maintained about a foot of additional growth since I started using LML’s products seven years ago, but over time I got complacent and stopped using them properly. (Life happens.) Over the course of maybe 2 months of poor technique, my hair strands lost some of their original diameter because they dehydrated. My hair developed an ombre sunburn that went from dark brown at the roots to bright gold at the tips. The color wasn’t an issue, but dryness and breakage were.

I went to see LML and she gave me a examination and some advice. She combed my super curly hair out. Then she brushed it to remove detatched hairs. No one has brushed my hair in decades (I always used a comb, only while conditioning).

Then she did a 3-star scalp oil treatment with a Scritcher and #27 Chillout spray. Which I have at home.

Then she washed my hair with her new #2 Silky Balancing shampoo, and conditioned it with #10B-ME2-C conditioner. Which I have at home.

During this process I realized that, while I had been largely following the letter of the instructions (with a few mistakes), I was not digging in enough with the Scritcher; I was not massaging the oil in with the vigor she used; I wasn’t brushing my hair out prior, so when i went to shampoo it, it was tangling up more; I wasn’t using the conditioner to pull the last remnants of the shampoo out of the ends; I wasn’t rinsing the froth off the comb as I combed the conditioner in; as I was handling my hair, I wasn’t working with the growth direction of my follicles.

I realized that when I was trying to be “on point” with technique at home, I was doing it maybe 65-70% correctly. I still got results, and I still recommended the products to people all the time. I still got compliments on my hair on a near-daily basis.

But I didn’t understand that shampoo interacts with the #18 SOS Scalp oil and #27 Chillout spray. I didn’t understand that the conditioner interacts with the shampoo. I didn’t understand that my hair had to be organized prior to cleaning it – I though that could be done afterward. I don’t think I saw how the SYSTEM worked.

So LML just brushed, washed, and conditioned my hair for me, with products I have at home. Clipped off a few split ends.

As a result, my hair changed color. The sunburned tips darkened from golden blond to caramel because my hair absorbed more water. All of my hair changed texture. The next day, my part moved from the center to the side.

LML invited me to come see her when I went to Manhattan in 2010. I should have gone then. She invited me to sit in the chair in 2012 when I went to the shop to buy products. I should have sat down. Going to see her was definitely worth it. I’ve learned about how to get more performance out of her high-end products. And that’s not touching on the stories she tells as she works!

I just love my “Longhairs NEW Organic Citrus Kiss Facewash”… and here’s why:

This is the first facewash that I have used in years. It is gentle and it does not irritate or cause redness which is the primary reason why I never use cleansers or face washes. There is no dryness or stripping of the acid mantle which means that I can use it every day. This cold weather is usually very harmful to my face but I can still use this cleanser without causing redness and irritation. Beautiful!

Some definite successes with LML’s skin creams!!

I have a definite success story to tell you today. As we discussed a few days ago over the phone, I have been using the camomilla cream on my face for about a week and a half. The cream has done wonders for my skin. At first, I used the cream about 3 or 4 times a day in small amounts.

My skin was in terrible shape before I started using your cream. The skin was dry, red from irritation and it had small bumps or pimples. It had been very imbalanced for a very long time. The bumps usually come as a result of the imbalance. I had very little natural oils or moisture left on my face. Honestly my skin had never been properly balanced.

This is how I started out: Week 1: The first day I used Hypericum cream for 2 rounds. This did not seem to make very much of a difference except to smooth out the skin a little. On the second day, I used the camomillia and noticed a big difference after the second application. I have been using it up to 4 times a day in small amounts for 1 week. During that week, I did have some bouts of irritation from the shower and the cold weather, but if I used the camomillia on my skin in the evening and again before bed, the irritations were gone by the next morning.

I used the cream in the morning and then again in the afternoon and evening. If I was going out on certain days I would put the Face Cream moisturizer on under my make-up. That added lots of emolients.

Week 2: What I have noticed is that my skin is slowly becoming a bit more tolerant of the elements. It doesn’t get quite as red when I go outside into the cold or come out of the shower. So now I use the cream 2 to 3 times a day with great results. During the last 3 days I have not used the face cream, only the camomillia and things look great.

Also, I have two other important points; My skin has problems just prior and during my period. It always becomes imbalanced, irritated and acne prone. This started yesterday during the day probably after I had to walk in the cold outside. I had a row of pimples and some general redness. I put the camo. cream on last night (twice) and everything has disappeared.

The other thing I found out is that when I get a really large red mark either from sensitivity due to rubbing my skin too hard or whatever the reason, I use a dot of the lipbalm you make and it will take that red mark away in a few hours!

The last note is that I have begun exfoliating very, very gently. The skin was sensitive at first, but again, the cream supported it then too and helped with keeping it moist.

This too is a process and I am noticing a remarkable change to my natural skin oils. It’s the first time in my life…I don’t even have this during the summer!

MY FIRST DAY: I now know what it’s like to have really soft hair. I thought It was my hair, but as you say there is no such thing as bad hair, just bad hair products. Hairgasm is really the most appropriate name for what I had in the shower, you certainly know how to describe your products in the most truest sense. This is how my first day went: the night before I did a pretreat with the Honeybee, #19, in the morning, I did my oil massage with #18 SOS Scalp oil for about 5 minutes, washed and rinsed twice with #2 SuperClean, and then retreated with #10-a Protein Treatment, and dabbed my ends with #13 Bliss Tips. and once everything was dry I also sprayed a very small amount of #11 Magic spray. (I guess I’m just curious about all these many products, and am like a little kid in a candy store, I want to try everything). And Voila !!! No weigh down, just Super Soft, Silky feeling hair.

I heard from a fellow Magicpacker…

I read that a fellow Magicpack member secretly hopes that Louise Marie doesn’t get too popular and “spread out too thin”. Even if Louise Marie’s line became the most popular in the world, I don’t think she’d ever get spread out too thin because not everyone would put in the effort and care that is needed for her line to work. We choose her line initially, but eventually it chooses us!

Also, I told Louise Marie about a friend of mine who wants to grow her hair long and she said to bring her to the non-salon with me next time.

She told me to bring her along next time and that I was like many of her clients who want to keep her a secret. The downside of keeping Louise Marie a secret is that it maybe keeps her from getting new clients. (some hair chat boards have rules I notice try to keep her down to ‘size’, afraid of her becoming too popular? ..heaven-forbid a household name like a popular mainstream brand they are not afraid to discuss. I notice initials are used to discuss her that aren’t listed or defined in their legends like with other brands) New clients and sharing her means more support and desire for her line and that means she can get the support to to buy the finest ingredients for her products that we love.

Next time someone asks me if I dyed my hair or remarks about it, I’m going to mention Louise Marie Longhairs’ line (which I haven’t done in the past). In fact, I was thinking of buying my friend a gift certificate for a holiday gift and taking her with me to the Longhairs Non-salon next time I visit!

I’ll let her choose if she decides to join or not and then if she does, I hope the Longhairs products choose her.

I can’t wait any longer, just have to write and thanks for the best present I’ve had in years. My hair has never been better. Healthy, shiny, thick, smooth, curvy, fluffy and totally frizz-less. What is beginning to get me excited is …

I bought some of the Longhairs Cellulite Soap!
Anyone who has cellulite knows this stuff doesn’t just disappear quickly, and I do have quite a bad case of it on my lower butt and thighs.

All this lead-in is to say I certainly didn’t expect to have quick major improvements. And that didn’t happen, which is perfectly OK, it’s only been a month of regular use…

The big deal though is that the soap is wonderful to use and leaves a texture that I really like, definitely not dry but somehow less slippery even when I’m perspiring. It seems to keep working through to the next shower.

What is beginning to get me excited is that even though cellulite is still there it appears to be changing a bit, less big bumps (can we say craters, LOL).

In those areas where I have very little, it now seem to be almost gone, it is not visible unless I do one of the famous squeeze tests. That’s a huge confidence builder for me.

I’m really amazed and very much looking forward to what the next few months will do.

Should also mention that I do not have the advantage of youthful skin that springs back – 56.5 years is approaching and it will be very interesting to see what improvements I can get at this age.

My hair is ‘NORMAL’ now!

I was just thinking last week when I was putting honeybee conditioner on my hair for it’s weekly treat… the first time I used honeybee, I didn’t like it. I remember reading on the website about people loving it and I just couldn’t see what they were talking about. But I used it because I was a good ‘Doc’  Longhairs patient and after several times, I really started noticing how great it turned out. Especially if I followed the ‘Doc’ Longhairs directions and followed up with the 9 Trees conditioner.

You know, maybe it’s stubborn human nature to want to do things your own way, but just think, Louise Marie has been doing this for over 25 years–she knows how it’s supposed to work. Why try to reinvent the wheel…FOLLOW HER DIRECTIONS. You know ’cause they really work like she tells you!

Mistakes I made when first using LML products:

Thinking that #18 SOS was only if you had bad scalp problems. Not combing hair before shampooing–this step takes out so many tangles. Not combing hair after conditioning with the anti-tangle comb. Using bliss tips all over instead of just the ends.

Now I remember the other thing I wanted to tell you. After reading on another long hair board about the problem with “the ends are dry, the roots are oily–what product works for you?” kind of posts, I realized MY HAIR IS NORMAL!

I’ve now completed one full run (rotations) of each shampoo. I wanted to believe, when I first ordered longhairs products, that they would work for me. well, they superceded my expectations. I can’t imagine ever going back to the old way of managing my hair. they not only make hair incredible, but, my scalp is great too.

the #18 massages with #27 after that is what keeps my scalp so healthy. and it seems that every evening as I undo my hair from my braid to brush it, it appears longer.

I have been using a variety of Louise-Marie Longhairs® hair products for quite some time. One of the products I am pleased with is the permanent hair dye. It is the best I have ever used! After using the hair dye, the results have left my hair shiny, silky-soft and natural looking.
I was so impressed that the color did not leave build up on my hair! In addition, weeks after using the dye, my hair did not frizz up like it usually does after applying a drugstore or salon brand hair coloring and most important, the color did not fade.

I have had fine hair that just never looked right long…

I found your website while I was on a search for a “For Me” Birthday present.
I was actually looking for a simple horn comb. All my life I have had fine hair that just never looked right long, even now it’s in a jaw line length bob. While reading about your products I
wasn’t sure if this was the right place for me. I browsed your sites for hours, seriously. I was impressed with the amount of information available and the details that were included. I wasn’t sure I was willing to spend so much on some shampoo, conditioner and a couple combs. I figured, what the heck? It’s only birthday money, what’s the worst that could happen, I could have great hair.
My shipment arrived today, so I opened my birthday present, read through the tutorials and headed to the shower.

“I really have to agree with this. I have been using LML’s products for almost a year now, and the personal service I receive is outstanding. I LOVE when she calls me personally to see how I am doing, if I have any questions, or problems. She truly wants to help every way she can. I can also understand how LM is reluctant to offer just any single product to the general public. How could they know how to use it properly? What if they mixed it with commercial products and didn’t get a good result? They would of course blame that on the LML product – but as we Longhairs all know, hers is a system to be followed exclusively, and patiently, for the superior results it delivers.

At first, even I was doubtful about purchasing an entire line at one time. When I did, I was not getting ‘great’ results at first, and was rather irritated about forking over all the $$. But LM kept me hopeful, stayed in great contact with me, and after several months, the results have been fabulous! I am hooked forever. And I am also very much looking forward to visiting LM soon for a complete evaluation and a “non-salon” experience.

Those “outsiders” will never know how good it can be until they all make the leap and become LML members and clients. Learn from MY mistakes…

What I did Wrong:
Recently I went to Louise Marie for hi-lites and colour and found out that the reason my hair was feeling a little “rubbery” was because I wasn’t using her products properly.
They say it takes 15 repetitions for someone to really absorb some information. I must be getting up there — maybe if you read this, you will save yourself some trouble by not second-guessing Louise Marie’s instructions. I had a tendency to do it my own way….at my hair’s expense. And my wallet — here’s why….

Mistake number one::
I was using way too much shampoo and too few latherings. (I see there’s no such word) Ideally you should use tiny amounts of shampoo on each lathering, and lather up to 4 – 5 times. My using about a tablespoon of shampoo each time and only doing 2 – 3 latherings was actually using more shampoo and it was really not doing what it’s supposed to the way it was made to do it. Instead of three tablespoons of shampoo, I really needed only about one and a half tablespoon or less, divided into 4-5 latherings.

Mistake number two:::
You’re supposed to massage the conditioners in, all the way, right to the scalp. It helps get the shampoo out — (so…Mistake number three was not getting the shampoo fully out ! ). I had supposed that the roots didn’t really need conditioning so I was only conditioning the ends, not massaging down to the roots and scalp. The result….not so good — this mistake really affects the texture and shine.
Mistake number four: Louise Marie calls it “squeegee-ing” — I was squeezing the conditioner and water out, same effect as wringing it out, only maybe not quite so brutal. You’re supposed to ‘Flexicomb’ until you run into resistance – ie tangles; By then if there’s any soap left in your hair, you will see a little foam on your ‘Flexicomb’ — rinse it(the foam on the Flexi or/and on that section of hair) off and keep going, rinsing the comb as needed — this adds more water and kind of “plumps up” the conditioner(removes the spent stuff) — your hair should feel great when you’re done.
Mistake number five is something Louise Marie didn’t mention to me, but I’m pretty sure I wasn’t using hot enough water for rinsing either. She uses water as hot as you can stand it to melt oils into hair and scalp.(Especially with the conditioners)
My hair is gradually rebalancing and feeling better each day now that I’m doing it right. The shine is back.
Moral of the story — all those elaborate instructions about how to use the shampoos and conditioners are there for a reason — You want nice hair, follow them!

What an HONOR it was to sit in Louise Marie Longhairs’ chair…

I just arrived in from Toronto after the long weekend and I was going to wait to post my comments about my visit to this wonderful WONDERLAND of a Non-salon, mainly because I didn’t think I could express what an HONOR it was to sit in Louise Marie Longhairs’ chair… this antique chair is a worth a whole other posting… but I can’t wait to share with all my other Longhair friends here.

was great (thanks to him my magicpack is like brand new) The cats were beautiful well behaved, lovable, fluffy, creatures that made me feel right at home and long for my own fluffy creature back home!

LML was just gracious, intelligent, and healing. The experience was overwhelming to say the least.

LML diagnosed everything right and wrong with my hair and scalp, and cleansed and massaged and combed and shampooed for approximately an hour and a half before she even started THE CUT, I swear my hair must have already grown and inch before I left that day!

We joked and people watched out her beautiful downtown window at all the silicone heads walking the streets … how dare they!

LML spent hours cutting my hair which lacked any shape due to not going for a salon cut in over a year. A couple hours later I emerged with the curls that went straight due to yucky products over the years, a beautiful shape that actually made my hair look longer than when I walked in, it falls all over my body now, not just in the front or just in the back (all around) I’ve got a ‘before’ picture and I promise to send her an after shot. My hair feels fantastic, thick, shiny, and like it is growing as I type. I left with a treat for clients only (Love, love, love them!) and also a friend in LML.

It was truly an HONOR to sit in her chair. If you get the opportunity, give yourself the treat of a lifetime!

I ordered and have the big student STARTERS Magicpack and I am enjoying experimenting with the many different combinations. Thanks for the great info. I won’t feel as guilty about blow-drying my hair now. Hair is doing really great. #18 SOS Scalp Oil, however, is critical, if I forget to do it my hair changes instantly. It seems my favorite combination is the #3 and the #9 Trees conditioner. You helped me kick the habit of “glossing” treatments. I still color my own hair but no longer need the silicone treatments I was doing before. (very toxic) My hair is long, shiny now on its own, thanks to your products. I ‘d like to tell you, I didn’t like the #3 shampoo the first time I tried it. Now I reach for it happily ?

I thought I would let you know how I was doing. I have been using the products as you have instructed and everybody keeps asking me what I’ve done different with my hair. I haven’t done anything but wash it with your products. They are amazing.

I really like the #20 & 21# Shampoos and the #17 Lilith Conditioner. I have naturally red hair with blonde streaks from the summer. This combination makes my hair really shiny and red, I love the smells.

My absolute favorite smell is the #18 SOS Scalp oil. I have been using a little for the smell, at night if I have a headache or can’t sleep. It helps me to relax.

I also use the #18 SOS Scalp oil on my husband’s scalp as a treat because he loves to have his scalp massaged. I also really like the #9 Trees conditioner. It feels great on my scalp and it smells good too.

I have hardly had any tangles in my hair since I started using your products. I love them all. I have used the #13 -A Bliss tips oil on my ends and it works great. I don’t have much left because my cat was in the bathroom when I was putting it in my hair and she knocked the bottle over and dumped the bottle all over the counter. I managed to get most of it off the counter and back into the bottle. I have about half a bottle left.

At last I found what I was looking for …

My hair is within a couple inches of my goal of classic / bottom of the butt length. This is very exciting — I can notice the growth. A young lady at the grocery story complimented my hair and asked how long it took to grow. I told her I had been growing it for 12 years and that now I get my hair cut once a year — of course at Louise Marie’s. It’s a bit shaggy along the bottom now, but with the use of Magic spray and comb-outs/ brushing by my hair roadie (my sweetie), it was looking very nice this Thanksgiving. Best regards.

A brilliant (the Baby-Kinder) brush!

I have never really taken a whole lot of notice of brushes until now. I tried my Louise Marie Longhairs’ square handled boar and porcupine bristled Baby-Sized Padded Kinderbrush and swear I have never used such a brilliant brush in my whole life.

This brush works wonders on my hair and has made a tremendous difference in how my hair’s looks. It makes it very shiny and gets the frizzies out completely! I love it and it fits right into the palm of my hand.

I just tried the #18 Scalp oil, BTN #2 shampoo, and #10-B-ME conditioner and I was very pleased with the speed (less than a minute) and ease with which I was able to comb through my wet hair with the Flexipick.
The last time I had washed my hair (with a different product) I was practically in tears from the 30+ minutes it took to detangle. At that time I also actually almost ended up having to cut off a large chunk of very badly tangled and matted hair.

Today My Hair Was Sooooo Smooth!

the Longhairs SplitsNippers – they are the sharpest I have ever seen! I have nipped a few more splits – I just don’t have very many! Today my hair was soooo smooth! I haven’t straightened it at all this summer – since it is too hot to use a blow-dryer, but since it seemed like it would be easy today, I did it, and my hair is STICK STRAIGHT – without ANY product but the gel. I am amazed at the smoothness, and overall improvement of the health over the past 4 months.

Since I have been using the #18 faithfully, I have really noticed increased growth – I think it has been growing almost an inch a month! I could never get it past my shoulders for years!!! I guess NOT going to salons for regular trims helps, too.

My husband mentioned this morning how long it was getting – he really likes it. Although he gives me a ribbing for how much I spend, he always has his nose in my hair!! ? He likes how the #9 makes my hair smell so fresh and clean. I have used it on him a time or two – he likes the tingle! I may start him on your products, as well, even though he doesn’t want to be a Longhairs.

Hair is progressing very well, I cannot even describe it as “dry” anymore! It’s getting longer, too! ?

I noticed my hair grew significantly faster than it normally would….fricking amazing!!

I’ve been using Louise Marie Longhairs products for about 4 months now and wow what a difference they make!
I have really dry long hair that tends to be oily at the roots, tangles and gets split ends very easily. Once I started using her #2 Balance treatment shampoo I notice a huge difference in how (not as fast) my hair gets oily and just the quality and texture of my hair improved.

I started scritching (with the #18 Scalp oil) and I noticed my hair grew significantly faster than it normally would.

The absolute worst salon experience I have ever had was at a popular trendy salon. I had always been very happy with my long hair, even proud of it, it gave me confidence knowing that I had nice hair, until I went to one of those supposedly well reputed salons. The hairdresser who did my hair did not listen to my instructions at all. By the time he was done with my hair it looked like it had been bush wacked. Instead of soft layers I had chunky uneven cubes. After two weeks my black hair dye started to turn into an orangy gold ring, like a halo. Needless to say I left there crying and was upset for months after. Luckily for me I heard of your longhair salon. After one visit my hair was restored to it’s former self, I was proud of my hair once again. I would recommend your salon to anyone, longhaired or not. Seems that all there is out there is the type of salon that spends to much time on making them and there salon trendy, instead of there clients hair. Hi Louise Marie, thanks for the advice for the special occasion. I used the #18 and let it penetrate the scalp for about an hour. Then I used the #27 Chillout spray. I washed with #8 Hairgasm and #9 and dried my hair upside down, and then used a little bit of curly cream. It worked nicely. The hair dried quickly, there was more volume, and the hair was soft but strong. The curly cream made it shinier. It wasn’t fly-away like I was afraid it would be. I don’t usually wear my hair down, but this was a special occasion, and I got a lot of compliments.

My first day!!

MY FIRST DAY: I now know what it’s like to have really soft hair. I thought It was my hair, but as you say there is no such thing as bad hair, just bad hair products. Hairgasm is really the most appropriate name for what I had in the shower, you certainly know how to describe your products in the most truest sense. This is how my first day went: the night before I did a pretreat with the Honeybee #19, then in the morning, I did my oil massage with #18 SOS Scalp oil for about 5 minutes, washed and rinsed four times with #2 SuperClear, and then retreated with #10-B Conditioner, and dabbed my ends with #13 Bliss Tips. and once everything was dry I also sprayed a very small amount of #11 Magic spray. (I guess I’m just curious about all these many products, and am like a little kid in a candy store, I want to try everything). And Voila !!! No weigh down, just Super Soft, Silky feeling hair.

So you thought that it was only for the hair on your head, well let me tell you what else it is great for. I have been blessed with the genetic predisposition to get cold sores.I was once offered by my doctor a medication that I could get him to prescribe as soon as I felt one coming on. Then I could take this drug and it would heal it faster. Great way for him to get $$$$ from OHIP since I would have to make an appointment to see him!!I don’t need to do this though since all I really do is apply a nice layer of scalp oil to my cold sores. Boy does it really act fast to get them under control and get rid of them within a couple of days.In the past using those messy creams and ointments from the drug store it could take a week to get rid of them and sometimes you would get a very sore scab on top of it. Not pretty!! But use a little #18 Longhairs SOS scalp oil and all is well fast!!

My hair (and especially scalp) feels… different…

After slightly less than two weeks…my hair (and especially scalp) feels… different. I’ve had three people compliment my hair in the first week! I will really enjoy watching my progress with the system.

As for the sticky outtie bits…I’m sure I have more than just the normal “grow in” cycle. I think I asked LM about it when I was at the non-salon…but there was so much new information all at once, I didn’t take it all in. It’s my recollection that she indicated I would get a significant portion of them to “grow in”. I recall she said I should expect a “line” around my head as they grow in.

I’ll let you know in three months or so…if I’m going to get a line I should see it by then. That’s also when I’m hoping to go back to the non-salon for another trim/consultation.

I feel it’s worth it!…

I have been using the products consistently last week (I have only missed washing my hair 1 day so far). As you know… I am African-American (Black), have straight, but slightly wavy hair. Do not use chemicals on my hair at all. I blow dry it. I don’t have dread locks either. My 1st two days, I washed w/ the SC#2. I really liked it far better than I expected. Normally the buildup cleaning type shampoos are very harsh on my hair, but yours was surprisingly gentle and very easy to rinse out. I found that my hair was in great condition. The 1st 2 days, I also used the #19 Honey Bee Treatment after the washes and loved it very much.

Before I forget, I have used #18 SOS Scalp Oil and #27 Chillout Spray before each wash as directed. Love these products and will do as you suggested and order larger #27 in my next order.

The 1st two days, I used the #9 Trees Conditioner and #10-b and the #19 Honeybee. I liked both very much. After the # 2 SC washes, I used the #25. Loved how it made my hair feel. I used the #17 Lilith conditioner afterwards. After using #17, I felt that my hair wasn’t conditioned to my satisfaction and tangled, so I rinsed and used #9. It was prefect then. #17 (Lilith) is a bit light for my extremely thick hair. Before drying, I always put on #12 Protein Spray. I love this product and am already addicted to it.

I blow dry (bad I know, but hair is too thick otherwise) and then use #11 to help w/ whatever tangles I have. I am also VERY addicted to #11! I brush using Kinder brush w/ some more #11 sprayed on (I really concentrate on ends). I pull it back into ponytail and braid. After braiding, I put some Bliss#13 on my ends, around nape, and hairline. I take my ponytail double it up and bobby pin it put off neck w/ the ends covered by my hair. So far, I really love the #9, #10a, #11, #12, #13, #18, #19, and #27.

The Shampoos I’ve tried so far are #2 (very good as an anti build up rebalancing shampoo), #25 (which I really love so far), and #1 (which I found left my hair a bit tangly afterwards, but will try again to see if it was a one off). I do believe that I will alternate each washing w/ the #9 and #10a conditioners. My hair seems to like that! ;0) Also, I think that I will use the #19 each time I wash.

It takes a bit of time (i.e. 20mins, it’s impossible to over-condition my hair I tell ya!), but it feels so good afterwards, I feel it’s worth it! I am really looking forward to working my way thru the shampoos to really get a better feel as to what’s good for me. I will say that so far I am extremely pleased w/ your products and I believe that they will be very good in promoting the type of growth that I’m looking for. If my hair feels and looks as good as it does now and this is typical, it ought to grow healthily and long very rapidly! I am looking forward to this time next year to see all this great length! LOL

I will tell you that I am becoming an everyday washer. I don’t know if this will be good for my African type hair, but it certainly feels good! To give you an idea of what my hair looks like, think Polynesian. Very Black, thick, w/ a lot of wave, but not hard to manage. Just much patience! Basically, it takes about 2 hrs from #18 to finish braiding to complete my hair routine. I do it at night for obvious reasons! :0) I do use the Kinder brush all the time. Feels great, no pull. Lose very few strands if any (which it truly remarkable).

From what I’ve heard your seem to be living up to their promises. I have relaxed, colored treated hair. I relax in order to manage my tightly coiled hair texture. I’m 43, my hair is thin, fragile, break easily when wet, it is dry especially at the ends. If I blow dry it’s all over the floor. I try not to use heat, I use quality hair products and I still have these problems. My hair is a couple of inches below my shoulders and I want it to grow, grow, grow and be manageable. it was the last chance I was giving my long hair…Hi again!

I spoke to you about a week and a half ago about the shampoo/conditioner not rinsing out very easily. The zigzag rinsing helps a lot. I’ve also found that putting extra shampoo directly into the centre (about 5 or so inches from the bottom) and then squishing it throughout helps, too.

I have had many different hairstyles in my life. Long as a child, cut in high school, allowed to grow again, cut again in college, now in my mid-30’s, long again. Alternative shiny hairs!

My boyfriend has been washing with longhairs [side note: he used another brand shampoo the other day and he said it burned!] The other day I noticed how the hair on his arms was reflecting different colors. I knew he had a few red whiskers, but now I can see those red hairs on his arms in the sunlight too! I liked watching the sparkles of different colors come off his forearms in the sun.

I have been a client of Louise Marie since 1990. At that time, one of the bands that I was playing with was producing a video and she was the hair stylist that was hired by the production house for the shoot. I immediately liked how she got my hair to lay. The more I spoke to her that day, the more I realized how serious and knowledgeable she was. My first cut at her salon left no doubt that I had found a person who would not only cut my hair (and leave it long), but oversee and educate me on how to make it (and keep it) healthy.

In 1990 I was 31 years old and for at least 5 years before that I had been concerned about how much hair I was losing in the shower. In 2009 I turn 50. I have a full head of long dark hair and (my father’s genes aside) I believe that this is due to Louise Marie’s products and the techniques that she has shown me to use them. You only need to use her products to appreciate their quality. I was impressed when I found out that she is her own chemist. These products are designed by her to be good for your hair and scalp. I believe that there is nothing on the market that is as good. On the rare occasion when I was forced to use commercial shampoo I was immediately aware of the harshness of the detergents and the garbage that is added to make these products look and smell the way they do. Her products are organic and mild and I can see and feel the difference that they make. It turns out that even the way you apply shampoo can have an impact on the condition of long hair.

Another thing that other men with long hair might not appreciate is the benefit of having a good quality comb. I am not a person who obsesses about my hair. I have chosen to wear it long. Many of the gigs that I do these days require that I wear a suit, and I frequently have to cross the border to play in the US. I have found that keeping it healthy and groomed makes it less of a problem for people who might otherwise have an issue. It brings to mind a slogan that Louise Marie was using when I first went to her. “Don’t stare, grow your own”

My experience with hair stylist before meeting Louise Marie was not good, partially because I gave them too much credit and let them talk me into haircuts that took years to grow out. The most traumatic of these haircuts was in 1986. I had been growing out layers that had been cut in by previous scissor-happy hair stylists, and was just to the point where the bottom layer could be cut into the one above. That year I was finishing the music program at Humber College and thought that I would get a trim for my final recital. I went to a place that my sister had recommended. I explained to the stylist that I was growing out these layers and needed to clean up the look for this recital. The very first thing this woman did after putting the apron on me was to gather my hair at my back. Then she actually said “say good-bye” and cut off my pony tail (from the middle of my back to my collar). She then took the hair she had just cut off into another room before coming back to finish the haircut. I’m sure the bitch sold my hair.

I have wanted to write a note of appreciation to Louise Marie for some time now. My hair gets cut less than twice a year. As I began to feel the need for a trim this last time, I happened to be driving by her salon and saw that she was no longer there. It was a number of weeks before I had the time in my schedule to call to make an appointment. For that time I did not know where or why she had moved or if the phone number would still be good. The possibility occurred to me that for any number of reasons, she may have closed after 30 years. I was quite relieved when I did call to find that she had moved only a couple of blocks to a new location that is bigger and better for her. I wish her great success at her new location and I will remain her client as long as I have hair and she has clients. And if you are in the Toronto area and happen to see a band with a sax player with long hair, please say hi. All the clients of Louise Marie that I have met are as interesting as she is.

I love ‘Doctor’ Longhairs (Louise Marie) techniques and theories about growing hair. I never believed that garbarge about clipping ends every six to eight weeks. When I used to let beauticians do that to my hair, my hair never grew long.
Now, that I snip only the ends that are split (with the Longhairs Splitsnippers) and look at each strand, my hair is down my back and still growing! And I am of African descent! That is another myth that women of African descent can’t grow their hair long.

After a week of use I fell in love with my hair again!

Remembering my first love Magic Spray #11.

First let me tell you I am

Black American woman and recently went natural (no chemicals) a couple
of years ago. Recurrent issues with dryness, tangles and breakage was
severely driving me towards using chemicals again to ease my hair
routine process.

Then I remembered some years ago using your #11 Magic Spray
on my relaxed hair and loving the results. So I decided to give it a
try on my natural 4C hair texture. After a week of use I fell in love
with my hair again. My hair is soft, combable (a NO for 4C hair) and
moisturized.

Thank you for delivering clean healthy products and
maintaining your formulas. I don’t have to resort to dangerous chemicals
just to detangle my hair. It use to take me 4 hours to detangle my hair.

I would not use any other products in my hair…

Well it’s now been approx. 3 months since I started with my Louise Marie’s products, and let me tell you, I would not use any other products in my hair, anything else would just not do it for my very finicky (wavy-to-curly-coloured-medium-textured)hair.

After 3 months of use I have settled in with a regular routine, and I no longer have to think beforehand what the next step is.

Here is my downpack routine: Evening – I use protein #10-B sometimes #10-A, as a pre-treat, dampen my hair a little with my hand then apply protein and put my hair in a bun, this really helps to comb out tangles in the morning. As well some nights I will spray on Chill out on my Scalp.

Morning: with #18 SOS massage oil, I take at least 5 mins sometimes more, (on Weekends) to massage my scalp, usually after I spray on #27 Chillout, I leave this combination on for 5 – 10 mins, then I jump in the shower.

I always switch shampoos every three days, for 4 days I condition with protein A, comb out, rinse. After I retreat with Protein #10-B, never #10-A, Protein #10-B, is the lighter of the two proteins, so it won’t leave you hair greasy.

I always touch up my tips with #13 Blisstips, and moving upwards to the more dry prone mid area. for 3-4 days I use #9 Trees as my conditioner and as usual I still retreat with protein #10-B and follow up with #13 Bliss. That is pretty much my regular routine.

Once in a while I miss taking a shower as I am in a rush or just wanted to sleep an extra 15 mins that morning, on those days, I just dampen from the middle to the ends of my hair and apply protein B & Blisstips and leave. Sometimes I also use LML #11 Magic leave in condition and just spray it on dry hair.

I should mention however that the night before I don’t pre-treat if I feel tired, and think that the next morning I will just treat my hair and run.

This is my whole routine in a nutshell, I always have time even on the run to use Louise Marie Longhairs products.

It’s an on-going process that I don’t mind doing as I keep picturing the resulting long, silky hair.

Long-ing (1) for a Visit With Louise Marie Longhairs

I have been a Louise Marie Longhairs client (online) for over a year now. I now have nearly waist length, thick brown hair.

I’d been growing it out using commercial shampoos with high silicone content. I loved the shine (what was actually a yucky coating) but my hair wouldn’t grow past “bra-length”. I switched to high-priced salon formulas, which promised organic ingredients (like sodium l. sulfate, and of course, silicone-based conditioners) and great soft hair, but I got neither. Again, my hair was dry, frizzy, and felt more like straw than hair.

I found Louise Marie Longhairs’ web site though a fellow longhair, and it was a whole new beginning for me.

The first few months I really didn’t notice anything dramatic, but after awhile, my hair was growing longer, it had a MUCH softer texture, and the “frizzies” smoothed out into nice soft waves. I don’t have oily build up on my scalp (which cause flakes!) and I don’t get split ends as often either. My hair is growing longer and stronger thanks to LML’s natural products.

But that’s just the beginning of the story!

I being a poor college student, dreamed of going to Louise Marie Longhairs’ salon for one of her famous cuts.

I was tired of going to “bargain haircuts” where for $10.95 I could ask for 1/2 in cut, and walk out in tears with 4 inches gone, or going to overpriced salons where they did the same thing to me for five times the price.

To get to Louise Marie Longhairs I needed a little help. For a gift, my mother bought me a plane ticket to Toronto, and a gift certificate to the Louise Marie Longhairs salon! I was completely overjoyed!

After some planning (with Louise Marie’s help!) I was in Toronto! The day I arrived I was amazed that Louise Marie Longhairs’ salon was in the heart of downtown Toronto, and the buildings there are beautiful.

The actual visit…..

I walked up the stairs to meet one of Louise Marie’s assistants, and I waited for Louise Marie’s arrival. In the mean time I was thoroughly entertained by – three beautiful cats with interesting heritages.

Louise Marie Longhairs arrived a short time later, a flash of sparkles and laughter! I will give her this, she really does look like the “sweet marie longhairs” logo on her products!

After some nice chatting about my traveling, we got down to work.

I’ve used her products for over a year, but with the limited things you can describe over email, I still had some build-up and needed to get a good scrub down of the Longhairs SOS scalp oil (#18). I’m sure LML could bench press with her pinky, her fingers are SO strong!

I found out that a main reason the area of hair over and around my ears was so unusually oily was that my hair grew straight down in that area, so the oil just sat around there and built up. The hair that grew there was very wispy and fragile. LML gave me personal directions on how to correct this, and this would have been very hard to do over email and the internet.

I then got a good dose of Chillout (#27) applied. I was shampooed and conditioned (with #2 and #9) and whisked to get the trim! In the mean time, they refilled my Magic Pack.

There is no way to describe the way Louise Marie Longhairs trims hair. She is most definitely an artist, and hair is her canvas! Snips here and there, over and under, for over an hour. We chatted, and it was great fun. I never saw big chunks of hair sitting in my lap.

Louise Marie Longhairs is definitely a perfectionist as well! I could now run my hands through it with not a catch or snarl. It was swinging and flowed and bouncy all at the same time! It had a definite shape to it now! Not just limp locks sitting on my back, but lively hair dancing as I moved!

She took a few pictures of my hair in her Non-salon. Then like a kid in a candy store, I got to pick out goodies to add to my Longhairs Magic Pack.

I got a pair of the Longhairs split nippers which work wonderfully, and they have a most original design! (I won’t ruin that surprise!) ? I also got some hair clips and her velveteen scrunchies!

I loved every minute of it. Never have I felt more pampered! I didn’t feel like I was going to some stoddy salon, but over to a friends house to chat the day away!

Louise Marie genuinely cares about your hair looking and feeling its best, and is a rarity in itself. I hope that given the opportunity, I can visit her salon at least yearly!

Since the cut, I have to actually SEARCH for split ends, and my brushes have never had it so easy (there are no more snarls to detangle!). I must say thanks again to LMLonghairs for all her help!

I feel a kind of relief at finding one good hair care line..

I’ve been only using the products for a month, I’m sure I’ll find many of the other types I’ll like too (I have the big magic pack). The pick, comb and brush are also wonderful. Louise Marie Longhairs’s always given me help and answered questions right away, so you can’t beat the customer service.

Late this spring, I’m hoping to get to her salon in Toronto to have her trim my hair and see how I’m doing. This is the most enthusiastic I’ve felt in a while about any hair care products and especially in the hair care salon area. I was skeptical at first to be sure, and was worried about the cost. But I am very happy now.

My hair is healthy and growing, even in this dry winter, and I don’t have any of the tangling problems I used to. As much as I enjoyed trying out new products all the time, I’ve got to say I feel a kind of relief at finding one good hair care line. There is enough variety within it to keep me from getting bored. I switch to different products within it quite frequently without any troubles, and buildup is a thing of the past. I don’t know if this line is for everyone, although I must say with the variety in it, it just might work for everyone.

Frizz – is getting much better – I’m convinced!

I took a shower with my hubby, this weekend, and I used #22 shampoo on him, and massaged his scalp w/ #9 Trees Conditioner. He really liked it, and now wants to use all my Louise Marie Longhairs stuff! Good thing I am ordering BIG sizes of everything! ? His hair was really soft – and he was startled at the shine it had after only one use. He wondered why it didn’t happen that fast with me, so I told him curly hair is way different, and it takes a while for it to become accustomed to products. Especially since I was using commercial products before that had silicones and other stuff, and it took a while to get my hair clean of those things. I have to say that now it IS clean of all those silicones and fillers, and my hair is doing better every day.

Every part of our body was to serve a purpose, the womb to give birth, the eyes to see, the legs and feet to walk. Some things that may seem to just be there and do nothing really do serve a purpose.

Take my hair for example, I know that I have it, and I know I have to keep it clean but why is it exactly there? It doesn’t speak. Or does it? It does, because when another one sees you they look at the many things…your eyes, your skin and on down to your feet.

But your crown, in these days of no real kings and queens, is your hair. It’s there to be beautiful. Not everyone has beautiful hair either, most people have to work hard at it. And we Anishinabe people were given by our creator Gitche-Manitou good hair.

So I think it’s a shame that in assimilating into the larger culture around us we lost our beautiful hair. We enter salon and barbers and sheer away part of the beauty that was given to us long before clippers and scissors ever existed. In this world of culture vultures, treaty rights, land and water fights and the right to sell tax free cigarettes we easily lose sight of the fact that we are cutting away one of the greatest gifts given to us, our hair. What was the first thing taken away from my parents and grand parents by all the priests, missionaries, social workers and boarding school teachers on the road to civilization and de-indianization. HAIR. Chop, snip, clip and cut. There goes pride, spirit and joy right down the drain. They knew it and so do I. Having said all this , I try to honour in a small way the first of my people by keeping my hair like theirs and hope along with looking like theirs it contains some of the soul they had also. Finally something that works!

I was feeling like I had tried every product out there.

I was beginning to lose hope and was getting to the point that I thought I was going to give up and cut off my hair.

My natural curls needed curling. The ends kept breaking. My hair was dry. I bought every product my hairdresser recommended – nothing seemed to work.

Louise Marie’s has been the best for me…

Although I have used other popular lines with very good results, I have to say that I like the Louise Marie Longhairs products the best of all, hands down. I think that they are all very good products. But Louise Marie has been best of all for me in terms of eliminating tangling, better scalp health, no more dried out ends or frizzies or flyaways, no buildup whatsoever. Plus I’ve been enjoying the awesome customer service they offer. If you’re having trouble with your hair or a question, and you email you will get answered very promptly. The downside, as with many product lines, can be cost depending how many different products you use. I alternate through a bunch of different shampoos and conditioners in the Louise Marie line, so my initial hit was pretty good sized (I made it a Christmas present to myself! ;o) ) But now it’s not so bad. And you have to order ahead of when you think you are running out (here’s hoping I don’t forget in the future!).

So I guess the final answer is that they are all good products, but some work better for others. I had success with them all, but Louise Marie’s has been the best for me. Good luck to anyone in finding the best products for you! It makes such a difference!

“…I couldn’t have been happier…” Just wanted to let you know that I tried out Trees and I’ve tried out Honey Bee-Long treatment. I like Trees, although I think I like Lilith and Protein conditioners a bit better. Trees will be good for me in the summer, because it makes my hair super light and fluffy. Lilith makes my hair light and fluffy, but smooth, and Protein makes my hair feel strong and thick. :o) The Honey Bee-Long treatment was a real treat. My hair just soaked it up and when I rinsed out my hair, and followed with the recommended rinse, I couldn’t have been happier. The Honey Bee-Long really improved the feel and texture of my hair quite a bit. I am still very happy with all of your products and let my Honey take the sampler of PEP SC Shampoo home with him. He loves the way it smells, cleans and stimulates his scalp. It makes his beautiful light blond hair very shiny. I have a feeling that I will have to continue sharing products with him! Luckily, his hair is really short so he won’t use much! ;o) I am so looking forward to having you take care of my hair this Spring. Not sure when to make the appointment for yet (because I don’t know how long it will take for me to get settled in my new home and get a new job), but when I’m ready, I will definitely request an appointment. I want my hair to look extra nice for the summer when I let it all down! ;o) At any rate, my hair is very happy and I thank you for everything This morning, I massaged with #18 SOS Medic Scalp Oil and then popped into the shower and used Protein shampoo and 10B again. Not that I am gloating about it!

Just a week ago, I saw my best friend “M”. I have envied her beautiful, dark, thick, fast-growing hair for as long as I can remember.

For the first time, I thought my hair looked better and was in much better shape than hers!

Not that I am gloating about it! Actually, I feel badly for her. Years of perming and coloring are taking it’s toll. Her curly, waist-length hair is now between shoulder and mid-back length. It’s colored auburn for most of it’s length, and almost black with silver strands on the top inch closest to the scalp. Her hair doesn’t look as shiny as before; but coarser and her bangs – she complains – curl up in the strangest way on her forcing her to use the curling iron with increased fervor. In other words, it isn’t the same.

“M”‘s hair has changed, as all hair does, over time. However, her changes are not all to her liking. Hair that used to stand up to frequent coloring, perming and general abuse now cannot take it anymore. Hair that often saw a brush, comb or pick ripped through it is showing the damage. And hair is curling in a very unruly way, not at all like the soft shiny curls she once had.

It would be easy to contribute it all towards age, and although it may have something to do with it, I don’t believe it is the major contributor. I think the “sins” of the past have caught up with her – I think this is due to years of abuse and hair that cannot just snap back from it anymore.

Rough hair utensils ripped through the hair rudely. Using hair products heavy with silicones. Harsh chemical colorants and perms parching the hair, breaking the hair’s bonds and reforming them at the whim of a roller rod and a stylists hands. Now multiply this quotient by many years — what does this yield? An abused, overprocessed product.

I feel so much for my friend’s hair! I’ve offered her the use of my products, but she is not interested. Not in the cost, or the time, process or care. Her hair is fine, she feels.

But will it still seem so to her in a year? Two years? Five years?

Fixing up my previously abused hair has been a painful process for me in some ways. Growing out multiple layers. Trying to figure out the best combinations of products for my hair and varying them for maximum benefit. Taking the time even when I don’t have it. And adding to that a head of hair that grows much slower than average… It’s a hard uphill climb. I’ve been tempted to say it isn’t worth it anymore. Tempted to say that hair like mine, that grows so slowly and isn’t thick as some folks, isn’t worth it. Why not just keep my hair medium length. Any product will keep shorter hair just fine.

But then I look at my friend’s changing hair. And I then say, well…. maybe my hair isn’t all that bad… The texture and shine and softness of my hair is beautiful and much better than before. My scalp is healthier. And maybe my hair isn’t very thick or doesn’t grow fast, but what I do have looks nice.

And then I think to myself; what if I didn’t use these products? What would my hair look like in a month? A Year? Five years?

Whew! That thought makes me shudder. I certainly wouldn’t be better off, and I doubt I’d stay with my hair at it’s current good and healthy state.

I guess what I’m saying is — maybe not all of us can have what is termed as “perfect hair” for long hair. Maybe out hair isn’t thick. Maybe it isn’t fast growing. Maybe it has other problems we must strive with. BUT… it’s a lot better than it was, and it is still beautiful in it’s own right.

I’ve learned not to look at pictures of ladies and gentlemen with perfect hair. Sure, I’m happy for them. I love to see their hair in person when I’m walking down a street – delighted to see such a nice surprise and yet another person who prefers long hair. But I don’t judge myself as much upon them. It’s hard not to. But all I’ve got is this one head of hair and I’m not going to get another. What I do now to my hair will affect it for quite a long time to come as the ends increasingly get older. I want to make the best of what I have.

So, maybe no flashy photographer for a hair site wants to take a picture of me. That’s okay. Whenever I feel my soft clean hair brush against the back of my arms in summer or see my hair while combing it out in front of the mirror, I can enjoy it for myself and savor just the small moment. After all, who are we growing our hair out for anyway?

A tiny bit of wild , naturally…

I love my new LML haircut. My boyfriend loves how it swings. I like it too! It’s sooo much easier and quicker to rinse out!!! I like the fringe up front. I was thinking of dying them – or I should say, have you dye them. I saw how you dyed your hair more brown and how natural it looked. I feel that if I don’t like the new colors, you could get it back to the original. I was thinking of dying the hairs up near my face shades of red (bright red), raspberry, and plum. then I was thinking of putting those same shades on a few individual strands throughout my hair so you’d do a double take and wonder if those funky colors were natural. Plus, it would look really good coiled in a bun with the multi-colors. This way, I could keep my natural color that I LOVE and have fun with a few other colors. We’d have to somehow coordinate the copper-highlights into it too. I was thinking of maybe doing a bit of a fiery-orange red too. I hope this makes sense. I want a tiny bit of wild color, but I want it to appear completely natural too – like
what one might imaging the hair on a fairy, goddess, or mermaid would look like. I want it to coordinate with my natural haircolor still.

this is still just a thought. I’m not sure if I have the guts to do it yet ?

Ben- was too busy petting my hair to say anything…

ok, first 3 days i got my Magicpack, i used #18, #6 and the 9 Trees conditioner. (well, actually i went insane because they all smelled so good so basically i sat opening all the bottles and sniffed them.) washed my head, went to bed, woke up in the morning. now, usually for my hair to look body-ful and floofy, i must blow dry it upside down, yadda yadda all that crap, but when i woke up, without doing anything else to it, it was FLOOFY! and SOFT! i have never seen my hair look like this. it’s as soft as a four year olds!!! and it’s full of body!!!

after 3 days, i used #3 shampoo. (this is going to be gross, but this way you know.) i had (pre-Louise Marie Longhairs product days) these icky little itchy raw spots on my head, seborhea i think it’s called, and when i used the #3 stuff, those little raw spots scabbed over, and the scabs fell off, and left new pink, non itchy, non raw stuff underneath. how the hell you managed that, i do not know, nor do i care. all i know is my scalp is reeeally nice now.

i love the #11 Magic spray. i LLLLOOOOOOVVVEEEE it. (sorry this is so damn long, but so are the effects of your products, so there ? ) usually, i drive with my windows open. and then my hair is FULL of snarls, acutally my hair usually is snarly, , and just one day into your products i am so serious here, i have NO tangles. i went swimming yesterday, sprayed some #11 Magic on my hair after, didn’t comb it, and when it dried, it only needed the tiniest bit of brushing. usually i’d have to sit forever combing it out.

This has never happened to me before.

I really notice a difference with the Longhairs® Omega 3 DPA oils.For the first time ever, someone close to me (my husband in this case) caught a cold and I was the one who didn’t. This has never happened to me before. The only thing different in my routine was that I started weight training and taking your omega 3 oils. Also, I’m less fatigued and experiences a lot less joint pain. I’m not even taking the top recommended does either (I’m doing the second best dose).

I met Louise Marie last week and she has brought back my hair from the dead. My hair has never looked better thanks to her truly magick touch and magickal products. What’s more is, unlike most hairdressers, she truly listens to what you want to do with your hair and guides you according to your needs, schedule and lifestyle.For the last 6 months I have been unable to get my hair to sit right. I wanted to drop you a line with some preliminary findings on some of your products. I love your protein shampoo #1. It is great. I also have found #6 is wonderful on my daughters naturally blonde hair. Your #9 trees rinses are very good.

My hair has some damage from color, and I find it takes a little longer to comb out, but the results are well worth it! I like the #11 detangling spray very much, it really works. The two oils in my Magicpack and #19 HoneyBee treatment are wonderful, and the “#13 Bliss Tips” really works. I am very pleased.

I used to have crunchy end on my hair where it was damaged. With your products, my hair feels smooth and shiny all the way to the tips. I now lose very few hairs in the brush or comb, and my hair looks great.

I will keep trying each shampoo, and send you my lists for replenishing my supply. I have noticed the longer I use your products, the easier my hair is getting to comb out. The Magicpack’s great!!!!! ?

I’m well into my Longhairs Magicpack now.

My favorite shampoo so far is the #1 shampoo…I’ve already find I’ve started using it when I want my hair to look especially nice, also using a #2 Superclear the day before. I love the #10-B conditioner–great stuff!! I usually use the #9 Trees Conditioner now after the #19 Honey Bee Long Hair Treatment, which is also great. I use the #10-B conditioner most of the time in the shower, alternating sometimes with the #9 Trees.

I also love the #13 Bliss Tips Ends Oil. There was a comment on your website from someone who smoothed a few drops on the length of her hair…I tried this too, and it worked great!!

MAGIC! And Louise Marie was the magician! I Love my long hair now.

I was first introduced to Louise Marie Longhairs and her fabulous hair products approximately 9 years ago (and have Magicpacked ever since!).
My best friend lived in an apartment across the street from her relaxed “non” salon and was dying to get her hair done by Louise Marie. I decided to give her first appointment with Louise Marie as a birthday gift. I called and made an appointment for her consultation etc., I decided to get a consultation myself at the same time and settled the details with Louise Marie. OK. Long story, but here goes…

I’m 39, been highlighting my hair for years. My hair is considered fine and straight but thick. The past 4 hair lightening sessions were about 100 days apart and I used a process called “Sun Glitzing”. This is supposedly all natural (though peroxide is used). My color is great but each time the process was over my hair would tangle. I mean really bad! It felt dry and crispy. I used “silk” shampoo and conditioning products my old regular brand of products Leave In Conditioner, Spray On Protein Spray Gel and Pomade to add shine and separation.

My hair looked good but so much hair was coming out when I combed through after washing and when drying. I started cutting back on the my old regular brand of products Conditioner and Protein because I travel and this was too many products for one head and suitcase! My hair began to tangle, then it began to matte.It took 10 minutes to untangle after washing then when I dry it started breaking and hair was everywhere!

I contacted Louise Marie Longhairs and ordered the Magic Pak.’

I would brush my hair with the Kinder Brush before washing. That took getting use to because it felt like it wasn’t going through my hair and only brushing the top layer. But it wasn’t breaking my hair. When I first started using the shampoo, it would not lather and my hair seized up and matted more!! I used 1/3 bottle of #10 Conditioner the first washing. Nothing happened. I kept trying different shampoos and masses of conditioner. I would lightly rinse the conditioner out so that some stayed on my hair after washing. I even started adding back the my old regular brand of products conditioner Spray after the Louise Marie Longhairs products. My hair was still tangling and knotting.

THEN, I read the Product Support page on the Louise Marie Longhairs website and I read “…Be sure to thoroughly rinse out all conditioner as this will encourage tangling if conditioner is left on…” I rushed home that nite and massaged in the Scalp Oil (I thought you should only use this if you had some scalp disorder). I (randomly) washed with #22 the next morning and conditioned with #9 Trees Conditioner. I even picked the conditioner through my hair in the shower the way you recommend. I have never taken the time to do that!!

This time I rinsed thoroughly with HOT water then COOLER water. My hair looked matted and tangled after washing but EUREKA, the tangles came smoothly out! I did not add any of my old regular brand of products with yours this time. I used a little Louise Marie Longhairs Styling Gel and dried my hair. My hair was very shiny. No need to add artificial shine products. My hair color was brilliant too!

Since I now have fly aways, broken hair from its previous trauma, I finished with #13 Bliss Tips to smooth them down. My hair looks very healthy today and as of this writing I’m running my fingers through my hair like I always do, and the tangles are almost zero. After today I expect my hair to improve with time. Now I’m a believer in Louise Marie Longhairs Products. I won’t ever go back to the “flammable glycols”. Thank you so much for your help in healing my hair.

P.S. I really thought all those “medic” named products were for someone with dandruff, scales and gross scalp problems. Now I understand they stimulate and nourish. Live and Learn. ?

I have been using the LML products and following the wise instructions of Louise Marie for about 15 months.Let me tell you I wish I had gone to her sooner!! Can I tell you how many times I walked past the non-salon and been curious as to what happens there but never acted to find out!! After a recent visit I got a trim and some restyling and my hair hasn’t been this great for years. I must say that it is soft and really responds well to styling and shaping when I blow dry lightly.Today was a day when I actually felt good about my hair and how it made me feel in public. In order to get these same results you have got to use the products as instructed by Louise Marie and you have to do all of the other aspects (combing, oil, latherings, conditionings) exactly as Louise Marie tells you to do.She’s not pulling this from thin air, she really does know what she is talking about. What a wonderful experience!!!

I couldn’t wait, I had to wash my hair this evening, I massaged in the #18, that felt so good, then I sprayed #27 on my sore spots , especially on the back of my scalp and it really burned right there, but after that it felt so good and cooling on my scalp, I then washed and lathered 4 customary times with #2 and to my amazement, this was the first time I ever just wash my hair without tons of conditioner, my hair felt so silky and soft, I was so surprised, then I easily picked it, no tangles!

I then wrapped a towel around my hair, finished dressing and such, I hurried so I wouldn’t leave the towel on too long, then I pick it again with ease, and comb it like you said to, my hair was so soft and smooth. Now my ends about 3 inches up was already dry, so I guess they are the driest , so I retreated with #10b on them, then added a little water and a little more #10b, then my ends were soft and conditioned. I am going to re-treat again with #10-b before bed.

One of the things i like best about going to your place
that was not mentioned though — maybe you could consider adding it next to
the pic of Maxcat on the chair — is something about how when you’re in the
chair you get full attention, more like visiting a friend than going to the
hairdresser, only one client at a time, cozy personal environment complete
with snoozing lap cat, great people-watching view from above, and all the
time you need, hair dries naturally so you know how it really looks…….

Just a suggestion, as I expect most of your clients enjoy that aspect — it
was also part of the reason I was easily convinced by my friend, to visit
you in the first place — I hate salons with rows of chairs and fifty
conversations going on at the same time, and when she told me how it was
there, it appealed to me, so I went.

I am very impressed with my new shampoo. Tried it this morning. “Sunshine on my shoulders” I agree. I was pleasantly shocked when I looked at myself in the mirror you would not believe the shine, the softness and the golden hilights after only 1 wash. Bye Bye dirty blonde, it looks so natural, like a week in the Caribbean sort of look. I don’t dread winter so much this year.

another myth that women of African descent can’t grow their hair long…

I love ‘Doctor’ Longhairs (Louise Marie) techniques and theories about growing hair. I never believed that garbarge about clipping ends every six to eight weeks. When I used to let beauticians do that to my hair, my hair never grew long.Now, that I snip only the ends that are split and look at each strand, my hair is down my back and still growing! And I am of African descent! That is another myth that women of African descent can’t grow their hair long.

I love Louise Marie’s products and it’s like pampering your hair!

The flakes are gone!

The flakes are gone! So I decided to try doing #27 every other day. My scalp got sensitive though. I will try #27 every day for a little longer. I have noticed that #18 feels cool on my scalp now. It rarely did that before, but now it feels tingly and cool almost every morning. Feel free to share this message with other longhairs because it took me about a year and a half for my scalp to finally stay clear consistantly! It still is sensitive and you told me at my last visit that my scalp is still a bit tight and thin. I know I still have longer to go until my scalp is up to it’s full potential.

I used to put gel and volumizer on my roots before I started the Longhairs line. It really contaminated my scalp.

To Longhairs the Non-Salon

I moved to Toronto after college and started to grow my hair long. I grew up with short hair and found it difficult to grow out but I was determined.

One day when walking along Yonge St. I saw a sign that said Longhairs the Non- Salon and I vowed that when my hair got long enough I would go there. Not only because the place specialized in long hair but because it said it was a non-salon. This intrigued me very much as I don’t particularly like the salon experience.

Salons for me tend to be places where I am easily intimidated because I don’t adhere to a glamorous lifestyle. I don’t usually know what to ask for and I don’t live with my nose permanently glued to the inside of a fashion magazine. All of these factors put me out of sync with the people that work and frequent salons.

In desperation over the years, I would hop from salon to salon trying to find one that worked for me to no avail. The closest I came was finding a hairdresser who worked by himself in a very small space. Although it was intimate, I didn’t feel that I was not in a salon as the attitude and attention to my hair was the same ­ always chasing the most popular trend.

When my hair started to get long I realized that I didn’t know how to properly take care of it. It was getting frustrating enough to want to cut it off, but I wasn’t going to do that. Instead, I called up Longhairs and booked an appointment.

I found very quickly that the Non-Salon is just that. It is an intimate space decorated with sacred objects and customized products. Louise Marie Longhairs is not a fad agent or a style guru but rather a highly skilled hair technician who knows her stuff. She started telling me about the ingredients she uses and doesn’t use in her products right down to the plastic for her specially made combs. She looked at my hair and didn’t use any buzzwords but rather taught me how to clean it properly. Nothing was rushed and the whole appointment took about 3 hours. She cut my hair so that I wouldn’t have to style it. She rarely uses a blow dryer. I knew I had found the non-salon for me!

Now I go to The Longhairs Non-Salon about once or twice a year. My hair is pampered when I go there and it is healed from previous damage. It’s growing well and I can comb it when its wet without tearing it out. Louise Marie is all about hair and scalp health and she is a precision cutter. She caters to people who know who they are and don’t buy into the mainstream beauty myth. I haven’t been to a salon since. I feel that she has been given a natural ability to understand the nature of herbs and other natural ingredients in her products. This is a long and honored tradition in most cultures. My great-grandmother was noted for her knowledge of herbs. These women used to be revered and treated with great respect. I think Louise Marie deserves the same kind of respect from the web and her clients.

She is not in this just for the money – you could never pay her for the number of hours she spends giving support and working with her staff on her websites.

This planet is where she is the Queen Bee, not because she is arrogant, but because she has put over 20 years of love and effort into her products (and her clients!) Here is where we can be free and revel in the “SPIRIT OF LONG HAIR”!

More feedback- I saw a friend of mine tonight who I had not seen in a few months and when she saw me she did not recognize me at first because she never saw me with hair that is actually growing in and looking pretty good!

Curl and No Frizz!!

I’ve been using Dr Longhairs #10-BME-2C conditioner and her Balancing Shampoo for 3 months now.

my hair gets softer, shinier and very silky as the days go by…

I recently cut most of my hair back and have regretted it since I have discovered Louise Marie’s awesome products and the fact that she has stated on her website that you DO NOT in fact have to cut your hair! Anyways, I have just received the great start combo kit and found that the smell of the shampoo and conditioner is very pleasant, not overpowering at all. My issue with any conditioner products was that they always weighed down my hair, no matter how little I used and it’s funny because my hair is not thin/fine at all. The first day using the kit, it was something I have never done, it’s easy enough to follow once you understand what you need to do. Using the shampoo was divine, the smell is so good and immediately my hair get like it was so soft, I know, weird because it was still wet. I love the conditioner, it didn’t leave my hair stringy and once I was done with my shower, the drying time was a lot quicker. Today is my third day and I must say I am very happy with Marie Louise’s products and system, my hair gets softer, shinier and very silky as the days go by. You won’t regret purchasing her products and I love the fact that I can blow dry my hair without doing damage.

I’m glad that I finally have the opportunity to write to you. Things have been very hectic for me, but I wanted to share a few things with you about Louise Marie and her web site.

Louise has been my hair stylist for years now and I can honestly say that I have never been happier with my hair and scalp. Without her help, my only solution would have been a dermatologist and lots of medication .

I am extremely grateful to Louise. Not only is she extremely talented, she is the only hairstylist that takes the time to CARE . And that is not all. Louise lets me be who I want to be. We are all surrounded with trend setters on television and on the web. I see this all over shows like City Line TV Show and on the web sites that advertise hair products and salons..

Women are constantly being categorized according to the standards set by these trend setters. I can still recall someone saying on television that “as long as you have long hair then you are still considered a little girl.” This is a form of “group think”. It renders women to compare themselves with other women and then cut their hair in ways they don’t like or that simply do not suit them.

I appreciate the sophistication with which Louise has conducted her business. While in her non-salon I am usually the only client there, at one time. This has always made me feel at ease and comfortable.

The web site which you have created for her never has any pictures of other men’s or womens hair that create feelings of anxiety about whether my hair is the right length, colour or curl. I never feel as though I’m being pressured into looking a certain way according to somebody’s trend.

I really hope that things will remain this way. I hope you keep her web site the way it is. It really is very refreshing to see such a sophisticated, informative and intelligent presentation. Keep it up!

Longhairs on short-short hairs…

I should update you on my man’s hair. He’s been doing 18 scrubs every morning like you suggested and he uses whatever shampoo I use for his hair/body. He uses #9 alot too (I think it’s the smell). Anyways, he keeps showing everybody the new little hairs on his balding head. Even my mom said his hair looked thicker. She asked him if he was using [over-the-counter hair growth product]. We told her that he was using my stuff, which she’s seen before. His head and forhead match now – it used to be that his forhead had dry, flaky skin on it and his scalp had a waxy shine. Now it’s much more consistant and the skin has a warm, shimmery glow to it. His head is really soft too ? He says that he wants to help me pay for my Longhairs products. I must admit I feel like giggling a bit when I think of my balding boyfriend using products called Longhairs.

When I opened the Rose Garden scented Sweet Scent-Sations Non-Salts scrub it looked good enough to eat! It reminded me of the cream icing that my grandmother used to make for cakes. And the smell is just divine and very authentic. I used it in the shower this morning and I felt like I was in the middle of a rose garden. It was a glorious way to begin my day. -I began my fight with my hair at age 10. Brush and Blow-drier in hand, I would struggle with what my momma gave me. Cut to highschool, and VERY early mornings to pump up my ‘trademark’ mane. Several more years of ‘abuse’ and mistreatment to my hair, my once-lovely hair, which recently i found to be limp brittle thinning and ready to just break off my head.

See about 2 years ago, I had a bad run-in with a disinterested ‘salon expert’ who seemed more interested in anything else but my hair. My 2 daughters & I have been using your LONGHAIRS® BTN PRODUCTS DUO for about 4 months with incredible results. My 11 year old has hair past her waist & my 8 year old has hair to the middle of her back. Please feel free to post this on Louise Marie’s sites.The other day my husband asked me how I felt about Louise and whether she held up to my hopes and expectations. “She has far, far exceeded any hopes I could have had!” was my immediate reply. This is the first time in my life where I actually feel that I have healthy hair and scalp. After all, Louise is probably the only hair stylist who takes an interest in treating both. While I do have alot of hair, it is very fine, curly, and wavy.

My sensitive scalp has always had adverse reactions to commercial shampoos and conditioners. Because of the fullness of my hair and the ringlet curls, most hair stylists layered it in ways that made me either look like a child or a helmet head. I don’t need to tell you that neither of these looks were very endearing to me. About 5 years ago I got an alopecia spot at the back of my head and earlier this year I got another one right at my hair line. My scalp was so worn out that my hair started falling out! Then I started visiting Louise Marie who introduced me to the S.O.S scalp oil and her shampoos. The nutrients in these products, as well as her honey-bee moisturizers and other conditioners (I use them all) have restored my scalp and it is actually NORMAL now! I am 33 years old and this is the first time I have ever have been able to say this!

Now after visiting with Louise my old layers have grown out and I actually some heavier curls falling around my shoulders…not the thinned out ones that I used to get. I’d like to write a horncomb testimonial and please feel free to share it with other members, pass it along, etc. Oh- where do I start this ode to my beloved horncombs?

Let’s start at the beginning…over 5 months ago in the days when I did not know about Louise Marie (Queen of all Good Hair!) and her Magic Horncombs! I took a chance and purchased 2 combs, sheepshorn and oxhorn and the LONGHAIRS® BTN PRODUCTS DUO. I had been sad and upset for years because my previously healthy hair was becoming lank, thin, limp and my bare scalp was showing through in my part area. It was terribly embarrassing and I used all sorts of “methods” to artfully cover the bad spots, etc. although nothing was satisfactory. I figured I had nothing left to lose, I had tried Rogaine, Nioxin and all the other magic bullets available before to no avail.

Well, am I ever glad I did try my combs and the LONGHAIRS® BTN PRODUCTS DUO. I am now a happy Magicpacker and have been for almost 4 months. I received my beautiful horn medicine combs and was immediately impressed with how smooth, beautiful and yep- gorgeous they were. I have told Louise Marie that they are like little works of art to me. I have 13 combs now and I am in grave danger of cleaning out Louise Marie’s stock of combs if I ever get to meet her! I certainly did like the way my hair was responding, but I was almost afraid to believe that a simple comb could do all that. I faithfully scritched and rubbed and stimulated my scalp with her lovely combs before even becoming a Magicpack member, so I assure anyone that these dear little combs are a big part of the reason that EVERYONE is asking me “What are you doing to your hair these days? It looks so great!” I do not have any bald patches anymore either. My hair may not be genetically predisposed to be extremely thick and full, but it is better that I ever thought possible- all this at an age where women traditionally start to sometimes get thin hair. Let’s get back to those horncombs I SO love. I wish I could meet everyone personally, and gush about how they really HAVE to try at least a couple. The benefits are truly amazing. They stimulate and funnily enough, relax my scalp all at the same time. I like that “buzz” I get after a good scritch session. My hair is strong, shiny (maybe because of the proteins deposited while rubbing and scritching?) and my scalp is clear and healthy. No flakes, no oiliness either like it used to be. Looked longer after the cut!!

I was a client of Dr Longhairs a few years ago, and used to get nice compliments on my hair back then. After a while I got lazy an went back to using drugstore products.
I finally got tired of my hair not looking as good as I knew it could (and my scalp being itchy), so I came back. I swear after my cut that my hair actually looked longer (I know that’s weird but it’s true) – no more big nest of frizz sitting on my back, but instead actual shape that shows off my curls.
Worth it for me to me to make the trip from Ottawa to Toronto for a haircut!

I very much love the Magicpack basket of goodies…and so far so good, with how my hair is doing with it. In shampoos, I’ve already tried the #8, #2 and tonight I tried the #23 shampoos. I’ve now used the #9 Trees Conditioner and the #17 Rinse, but tonight I used the #10-A Deep Treatment and did a good 30 minute heat treatment with it. And now that it is finally dry, my hair feels great, very full and soft. I need to go back to the web site and review your instructions more carefully. For now, I’ve just been wandering between the products and having fun with everything. The combs, by the way, are gorgeous and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the Flexipick. Louise Marie suggested that I add this to my previous post after our conversation about #27 Chillout Spray (when I saw her) this weekend:

I chill out my ears by spraying on #27 Chillout Spray, and then rubbing the ear with a wet cottonball with some #27 Chillout on it already (I already used the cotton ball on my face).

When I spray the #27 Chillout on my ears, I can actually feel the water in my ears come right out**. No need to jump up and down and tap the side of your head ?

She also suggested that I spray my feet with #27 every morning.

If I remember correctly, it had something to do with using #27 Chillout Spray some form of hydrotherapy*.

I got addicted to how well they work on my skin…

I just ordered all the shampoos in 8oz bottles. I wanted that so bad after I got addicted to how well they work on my skin. I bought some #18 because I’ve been using more. My boyfriend will be moving into my apt in Feb. and I told him I’d take care of the “cleansing” bill – I love how your stuff has cleared up his shave bumps and makes his skin soft. I told him he has to wash with your shampoos if he wants to share my shower (it keeps my shower cleaner too!). I’m so excited. I forgot to order my extra 16 oz #2 to use as handsoap. I carry a little teeny bottle of it to use in my purse when I’m away from home so I can wash my hands with good stuff. I’m going to go do that now!

I’m a faithful (male) client of 13 years (4.5 feet), since my first visit with Louise Marie.

The next 2 years it grew an additional foot and a half. The last remaining years I’ve had her keep the length shortened to the mid of my butt. I have had my hair this length now for the last 10 years and what IS scary, is that I am probably capable of growin this hair right down to my knees, thanks to Louise Marie.Thanks to her hair advice, amazing products that I swear by, and salon care services, my hair is HEALTHY and STILL GROWING long and strong. Hair feels more consistent from roots to tip…

I’ve been using the line for about 5 months. First major thing to happen is that I noticed my new hairs around my face were growing in for the first time in years.

Second, the hair feels more consistent from roots to tip. It doesn’t feel drier down the length.

Most recently, my dark hair seems lighter/redder. I was even asked if I colored it .

I didn’t notice these changes in my hair until after about 4 months.

I have been aluminum foiling (foil highlighting) my hair at my regular salon
for years and whenever I went in the sun or just after about 4 weeks, my hair
would start turning into a yuck orange color. So I had to keep going back

Long-ing (2) for a Visit With Louise Marie Longhairs Reply

Just got back from my trip to Toronto! It was a wonderful experience finally meeting Louise Marie Longhairs after working with her for over a year on the phone and via email.

The day of my appointment, I received a beautiful fruit basket at my hotel room from Louise Marie Longhairs. Later, I walked the 2 blocks to her place. The assistant was there to meet me, and took all my bottles (I use the big 16 oz sizes, so he had his work cut out for him) for refilling. What a great deal that is. It saves me a lot of money, since I don’t have to pay international shipping costs. I met the feline residents. At certain times during the appointment, they would jump up to sit in my lap! The studio (can’t call it a salon) is painted all lilac – my FAVORITE color. As a matter of fact, I just painted my bedroom the exact SAME color. That told me that LM and I were going to have much in common.

Louise Marie came in a few minutes later, and she was not at all what I expected her to look like….I think I was expecting a lot of flamboyance since talking to her on the phone – her voice gave me that impression. But she looks just normal – she’s really petite, and that great voice is what makes up for her size! Her hair is REALLY shiny.

She took me right to the chair, which overlooks Yonge Street, and started evaluating my hair and scalp. I am glad I had been doing the scalp treatments properly – she only found one spot that I need to improve on. Then she did a scalp treatment, and washed (#20), and HoneyBee-d, and conditioned (#9). Then it was time for the trim. I have not had a trim on about 13 months, and the last time I did eas the time I swore off traditional salons after the “stylist” ripped out a good sized chunk of my hair while brushing it. But I digress. Louise Marie probably spent hours nipping here and there, letting my hair dry in between to see how it would lay, then wetting it and snipping again. I never was nervous at all, I trusted her completely. I knew she was going to have to take a couple inches off, since I had some old foil highlights that had grown out, and were a tangly mess most of the time. I have VERY curly hair, and it is really fine, so tangles were a big concern of mine. Well, not anymore! Now my hair has a WONDERFUL shape to it, the curls are springy without tangling onto each other, and it detangles in the shower so much easier – it cuts about 5 minutes off my shower time!

Then she put some color on my hair, to sort of hide grey, and give it some brilliance. I really like it SOOOO much. It is very natural looking. Then we spent some time and she showed me how to do updos with her pike clips, and I bought 2 of each size. I was having trouble with updos, and now I have a lot of ideas. So I left with about a 50-lb shopping bag of refilled (and some new) product, and a great updo. (It was raining out).

I was there hours, just Louise Marie and me. You certainly cannot go to a salon and get that kind of service. I was really impressed with her intelligence, not of just hair, but of all sorts of worldly matters. She is a multicultural person in all aspects.

But overall, the lady knows how to give a great haircut! Curly hair is the HARDEST to cut and shape, and her skills are by far the best.

I’ll bet Louise Marie will want to comment to you on our visit as well…I will recommend to all of you members that it is worth the $$ to try to see her at least once a year. I know I am already planning in my mind next years trip!

I heard about Louise Marie from a long hair site. It was one of the links.I have tried many things on my hair through the years. Not always been happy with them. I am very happy with these products.Louise Marie answered the phone when I called. She sounded so happy! I asked her what products I should use. She told me what and how to use the products. She spent a long time on the phone with me. It was like talking to an old friend. She remembers me when I call. She is wonderful!For the product: I don’t use as much as my old shampoo. The conditioner is wonderful. I love the huge comb that makes scary shadows. My hair still smells and looks good the next day if I don’t wash it. These are very wonderful products. The most recent compliment I got was it was ‘alive’.

I happen to come across Longhairs Salon one night as I was phoning a variety of salons to enquire about hair extensions. My hair didn’t seem to grow and it was always dry and had split ends – “fried” is what I heard once. I tried MANY different hair products and nothing seemed to work on my hair. I was fed up I wanted long hair fast!

Thank goodness Louise Marie suggested not to attempt to add the hair extensions and fully explained how much damage this can cause to your hair and scalp.

It made a lot of sense. I suppose I just wanted a temporary quick fix. I agreed to go down to the salon to pick up some samples she had offered. I had the pleasure of meeting Louise Marie and seeing her salon. It was really nice to meet her and I had a lot of fun talking about hair. She took her time to explain the benefits of her products. She spent quite a bit of time with me. I was grateful for this because many salons try to rush you in and out, but not Louise Marie. I tried the samples and eventually purchased the LONGHAIRS® BTN PRODUCTS DUO and have been using this since my first meeting while saving up for my Magic Pak – which I can’t wait for!

Since I have been using the LONGHAIRS® BTN PRODUCTS DUO I have received MANY compliments on my hair – especially that it is ‘shiny’. I myself have noticed a big difference. It is shiny and soft. The most recent compliment I got was it was “alive”.

I also purchased the “Magic Spray”. I love this product and have a tip to offer:

“Magic Spray Tip”

At times I use hot rollers to give my hair a different look. I Magic Spray my hair all around only once – very lightly, then add the rollers. Once all the rollers are in my hair, I give another quick squirt of the Magic Spray all around. After the rollers have set, then taken out I am left with VERY soft & shiny hair! I find that the Magic Spray adds more shine. This should work as well if you use a curling iron.

In addition to the LONGHAIRS® BTN PRODUCTS DUO and Magic Spray, Louise Marie colored my hair. What was interesting about the color that Lousie Marie applied was that it REMAINED SHINY. In the past I noticed on myself and others who color their hair that the color faded in a week and it wasn’t as shiny and vibrant.

I did the ‘no-poo’ for three months, washed my hair with apple cider vinegar for two months, did coconut oil masks, avocado and mayonnaise, lemon, honey, eggs… yet my hair remained strained. I also wanted to mention that in my 26 years of going to salons to get my hair done, never have I had so many wonderful compliments than in the past 2 years since I’ve been going to you. My hair, now is really getting quite long, and it has not been this healthy since I was a kid. The care that you take in keeping it healthy with the right cut and great colour products, along with my using your amazing shampoos and conditioners have made a world of difference.

Another thing that I really like is that I get one-on-one dedicated attention when in your salon… I no longer feel like I’m the product of an assembly line with my stylist jumping from one person to the other like they do in the larger salons.

My hair is still growing, and this is wonderful!….

My hair just keeps on getting better and better as time goes by and I use your products more. I couldn’t be happier. The #3 shampoo is great and I think that I will be using that even more.

It does make my scalp feel good and my hair so shiny and soft and clean. I think my hair responds really well to shampoos with the qualities in your product line.

My hair always comes out shinier and softer for some reason. Perhaps it’s that the pH agrees with my fine hair better. My hair now does shine as nicely as if it had a hair laminate on it, but without the nasty side effects.

I have been noticing that the next day after I wash my hair, not the day of the washing, my scalp is starting to itch. You said this means that I need to wash my hair every day instead of every other day I was afraid that this might dry my hair out (it would with everyone else’s I guess I am stuck in the old rut of the saying “don’t wash long hair too often!”. I am afraid that my dry hair will get dryer and start breaking. However, when I use your products, my hair does seem to be incredibly soft and not dry on that day. It’s not until the next day that I’ve really started noticing that.

My hair is now just three inches away from my waist now. I am very excited. My hair is still growing, and this is wonderful! Because it usually doesn’t seem to grow in the winter. At any rate, my hair is very happy and I thank you for everything. Have a wonderful day!

I love #27 Chillout Spray..Chilling out a skeptic… (1)

My Longhairs Magicpack arrived. Initially I was skeptical and worried that it wouldn’t work.

My worries were over when I realized what a miracle product #27 Chillout Healing Spray was! I figured that if one product worked so well, I will have faith in the others – which after time, have all give me pleasure.

If you haven’t thrown away your deodorant for #27 Chillout Healing Spray yet, you are missing out.

I always hated deodorant. It stained most of my 100% cotton clothing. I tried many brands too, and I still got stains. Plus, when I sweated, the deodorant and sweat made my armpits feel oily and disgusting. I never understood why my armpits should sweat more that other parts of my body.

Based on my experience, they sweat more BECAUSE of deodorant/anti-perspirant. I believe it clogs the skin and you sweat more to detoxify the nasty deodorant. It also blocks air from getting to the skin to evaporate the sweat. #27 Chillout does the opposite.

#27 Chillout Spray lets my skin purge so I don’t have to sweat excessively. It also inhibits bacteria so the smell is gone without contributing artificial smells. It chills out my armpits, so my body doesn’t have to by sweating more.

#27 as a deodorant left my skin smelling skunky for a few minutes after using it as my skin purged and detoxified itself. After a few weeks, that smell went away and has a more mint-like smell that I enjoy.

I use it on my feet when I wear sandals too. My old foot deodorant was terrible.

Unfortunately, I seem unable to thoroughly clean the deodorants out of some of my clothes and sandals.

I spray #27 all the way from my upper arm down my side to my mid-section after getting out of the shower and drying off. I then work on my hair, brush my teeth, etc. and spray a second misting of #27 Chillout on my armpits only. I find this to work the best.

Sometimes I will use #27 Chillout again in the late afternoon/evening. I like that it rids the smell instead of covering it up. My armpits sweat as much as the rest of my body now – no less, no more.

I also Chillout my face and ears every morning as directed. I had my hearing checked not that long ago and the woman put a tiny camera in my ear to look around and said she never saw clean ears like mine before. I don’t put #27 Chillout into my ear, but somehow it keeps the entire ear canal clean!

I’ve used #27 Chillout Healing Spray for so much – paper cuts, itchy skin, cooling off after working out, etc. Of course, I use #27 Chillout on my scalp too ?

I know this is a really long post, but I really, really, REALLY love my #27!!!

My husband loves my long hair and really loves how the products make it so wonderful and nice! It’s middle of back, slightly wavy and rather on the thick side, I’d say. It’s brown.

Around 3 years ago I had it colored (permanent). That was the last time. Before that it had been colored semi-perm about 3 times. Always the color was brown – as close to the real thing as I could get. But, with your products my grey hair has pretty much disappeared! It’s great! I like how thick it is and of course how it is getting nice and long. Could be lack of being stressed as well.

I took your advice Louise and used the Fauxtortise comb to smooth out my hair with #9 while in the shower. WOW! NOT ONE TANGLE!! I first flexpicked #9 then smoothed out my hair with the comb like you said. I really didn’t think it could make any difference since I flex out all the tangles. When I rinsed and towel dried my hair there was not one tangle. I can’t believe that happened. It’s impossible combing could make that much difference!!! Thanks for ALL your guidance, advice and products.

My hair’s always been shiny, but now, three weeks into the Louise Marie Longhairs products, I’m noticing a deeper glow to my hair. Kinda like the difference between the surface shine of a glass pearl, and the deep glow of a real pearl. Very neat!

Let me start off by saying I have really thick hair. I’ve been under the false impression that since my hair is thick it must also be coarse. I was so wrong. After my first try with the Longhairs products with Louise Marie starting me off I realized my hair is actually really smooth and now cooperating with out having to blow dry and straightening it.Just six days into using this hair system my hair is looking and feeling more healthy. I cannot stop touching it. Also noticed it is drying faster then it used to.

Today I straightened it for an event and it was so much easier than before. I only had to go over each piece once, normally I would have to go over each piece two or three times.

The best part is there is less hair at the bottom of my shower each time I wash my hair.

So happy that I found Longhairs and grateful for Louise Marie and her expertise in making these awesome organic products that actually work well.

Looking forward to having long hair again and this time healthy and easy to manage.

I went in a couple weeks ago with thick coarse hair that was rough to the touch and hard to manage. It would take me over an hr of blow drying and straightening to get my hair to look good. Not to mention the colour was looking nasty and I had not dyed my hair in a while because I haven’t been able to find a natural dye that I liked.
Louise-Marie got me started on her hair treatment to repair my hair for a week and a half before dying it. My hair went from being unmanageable to falling nicely without it being styled and going from thick and coarse to thick and silky.
Louise-Marie then made me an organic hair colour and a personalized hair treatment to put in before dying my hair. My hair actually feels even better after dying it.
Cannot wait for my length to come back, now that I found awesome organic products that will help keep my hair looking good while it grows out.

Yes, it’s worth it…

I agree that LM’s line is worth the cost. I’m almost at a year on her line and I’ve started to set aside every month for my “cleansing bill”. Last time I went to see LML, it came out to be a rather large bill – I get LOTS of #27. I then decided to budget better and when I figured out how much money to set aside a month, I realized how much it costs me per day. Really, it isn’t that much at all! I think if someone said “I can guarantee you beautiful hair and clear skin for only X amount of money a day”, most people would gladly pay that and more. What I like about LM’s products is that they don’t guarantee those results for a small amount of money a day – you have to put in alot of your own elbow oils ? This is going to sound arrogant, but that is what sets us apart from others. We put in alot of effort to get the results we have. The money is nothing to the time and work I put into using LM’s line.

Above, I said X amount of money because I understand that currency varies for many people on this board. I would suggest that if you are ever concerned about cost to calculate your daily expenditure and you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

About the time, I do put in alot of time a day taking care of my hair and skin. That would really get to me sometimes until one day I was chilling out my skin after my shower with the windows open and I could hear the chirping birds. I realized then that those birds and all other animals spend most of the day when they are not looking for food or taking care of young on grooming themselves and each other. Spending time on my hair and skin feels natural and allows me to be mindful. I think of my scalp when I do scrubs and enjoy the feeling of the oil. I pay attention to every scent from LM’s products. Grooming is not just good for my hair and skin, I believe it is good for my mind and soul too.

Quick-dry hair gene?!!??

Most of the comments I get about my hair is actually on the drying time! I tend to come into work with damp hair, but it always dries before the morning is over. People say “You’re lucky” and “I don’t grow my hair out because it takes hours to dry”. I then tell them about the silicone in their hair and that I can give them more info on the products I use, etc. I know people with hair shorter than mine who have to blow dry their hair in the amount of time mine takes to dry on its own. It dries super quick after 10a and I have to rewet the ends to put in my retreat.

It’s weird the reactions I get. Sometimes I think people rather want to believe that I have “quick-dry hair genes” instead of believing that I take care of the health of my hair.
