Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes we do. People order from all over the world over and over again – and we’ve noticed that it’s getting cheaper to ship internationally all the time!

Our two main websites serve two separate sides of our online business: Hairgasm is our e-commerce website and is used to purchase our products, and Longhairs is our information and communication website, providing you with extended information and answers about our products, their usage and care, and acting as a communication tool between you and LML.

www.hairgasm.com

  • Product sales website.
  • Fully categorized catalog of available products.
  • Different products available to official MagicPack Members.
  • Online purchasing.
  • Anyone can register.
  • You create your own username and password.
  • Once a MagicPack is purchased, you become a MagicPack Member and are given access to members-only products.

www.longhairs.com

  • Information and communication website.
  • Categorized FAQs, tutorials, and testimonials for products.
  • Different FAQs and tutorials available for official MagicPack Members.
  • Appointment bookings for in-shop visits.
  • General public may not register.
  • When you become a MagicPack Member we create a username and password for you.
  • MagicPack Members are given a Daily Hair Diary to communicate with LML for ongoing support and guidance.

So, why two different logins?

For security and administration purposes, it is more sensible to separate the logins for the two sites. When you become a MagicPack Member and are given a login for the longhairs site, we will try to match your username to the one you use on hairgasm (if applicable). For security purposes we do not have the ability to view your existing password, so we cannot give you the same password on both sites.

If you are a MagicPack Member and would like to have the same username and password for both sites, when you login to www.longhairs.com with the username and password provided, simply visit the My Account page and change your password to match the one you have on www.hairgasm.com.

This person’s idea was to make a payment to start it this month and completely pay off the cost next month; once paid in full, the MagicPack could be sent to her.

That would work just fine, though the MagicPack cannot be shipped until it is paid in full. In her account, she’d see it taken off her order’s total.

The way to go about this is to go ahead and place and order for the MP. During the checkout process – in the additional notes area – request that a certain amount be paid now (when placing the order), and then to make more payment(s) just let us know and we’ll keep taking that amount off your total.

We can also wait to weigh it (to determine shipping) until the last payment in case you want to add things along the way. (We can add to the order and you’ll see the changes on the invoice.)

While making payments on the full MagicPack order, if you suddenly need to get your brakes fixed on your car you don’t have to worry about losing your money. The paid balance is not refundable, but you can stop the existing MP order and use your balance to order different products. Try not to change your mind too many times, but we all have emergencies crop up and we understand and will work with you.

Our products can only be purchased in the Longhairs Studio and online from our catalog – because we care to provide the freshest products at the best price, directly from the manufacturer. It’s always the real thing and never an imitation.

No, it does not.

Although your purchases are appreciated, membership for one-on-one personal care by LML is started by ordering often, visiting us here, and maintaining the MagicPack in its entirety.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes, of course! (…but only if you promise to try and use it correctly!)

Please see our Longhairs® Hairgasm® Non-Members catalog, and remember that ordering more saves you postage, though we often add bonuses to help with your postage anyway.

When you run out of a component it may be reordered (link opens new tab) accordingly, for your convenience. It’s always better when you plan ahead. Small reorders may seem frugal, but it can make things more complicated and less economical. Once you get familiar with usages, you should order up, and, of course, ahead. Maintain your supply, don’t run out, and then don’t worry. To avoid any feelings of ‘product-supply-anxiety’ from affecting how much you use along the way, reorder larger sizes, or come and refill your MagicPack® and empty containers and relax.

The letter X is used to show you the thickness choices available on our horn combs (link opens new tab); it can be seen as a light-to-heavy scale that is specific to that horn comb style. Some people know that they like a certain weight or solidity to the tool(s) they use, but if you don’t have a preference you can ask DrLonghair® (who had these carved) for a recommendation. Other than that, if you like a rich feeling in your combs, go for a higher number (e.g. 3X), but for scritchers, stay at 1X or less.

The first number (325 in this example) is the comb design.

The second number (12, or 3 in this example) is the thickness of the comb in that design.

The letter on the end (W in this example) stands for the color – this comb design comes in White, as opposed to Ox, which would be B.

Of course, yes. And for the ‘complicated stuff’ it just depends on how involved your needs are. DoctorLonghairs can deal with hair and scalp needs refreshingly easily on all lengths and levels, and at the same time is very capable of some pretty high-end and long-lasting results.

At any speed, even basic care is going to thrill you, and you’ll be glad you asked. ‘How much’ isn’t the issue like in typical salons; you’ll be relieved that you came in for a trim. It’s natural after great results to want to take with you some of our ‘basic’ shampoo and conditioner (and Flexipick). You can stay at that basic-needs level if you choose, no problem at all. You’ll still find the distinctive Longhairs brand of perfection present for even your simplest needs.

Oh, and complicated? Somebody has to do it, and there’s nobody better than LML to do it – and it’s not really that complicated, it just so happens MagicPacking or ‘kitting’ may or may not be for you.

Yes, they are different in size, complexity, and hair type/condition.

Perhaps this may work with chemical products and product that need such help – we don’t. By following our directions for our products with our products, you will get very smooth hair that is staying smooth without a forced hand.

This might also work where the product’s chemicals (natural or created), regardless of temperature, will spread what good oils (processed or emulsified) might happen to be in the product. I guess it also depends on the nature theory (if there is one) and strength of what they might be using. Using lukewarm water with cold water rinse certainly isn’t a long hair ‘do or die’ rule of any sort, and we don’t keep this in mind prior to making any product for long hair just to make it in the way certain people want to use it. There is no general rule that we look for to follow when we manufacture except success.

I do know you cannot move butter or good oils around properly like you think you are doing with lukewarm or cool water unless there is a high detergent value to do the job. The oils in our products and the nature of it are not such chemicals, but designed to melt at temperatures higher than body temperature (there are many reasons for this) without the use of the chemicals or preprocessing that an average consumer may not understand. Our products sufficiently ‘open’ to accept when they are supposed to, ‘penetrate and close’ on their own when they are supposed to; it’s programmed in – unlike ‘outside’ products that coat the hair or are simple natured in design. Have you ever heard of anyone doing a “cold oil treatment”?

Tips like this one, found here and there, are not speaking of Longhairs® products at all, and are only tips for common products that produce the needs from which these kinds of tips arise from. Doing this with the water temperature with our products is definitely going to meddle with the way our products were designed to work. In other words what you need to do for other products, our products do for you, if you provide the environment it needs to naturally do so and not interfere in such a way.

The need to apply outside information on our perfectly well-instructed product is indeed overkill. There is no need here for outside tips that are contrary to manufacturer’s directions. There is no need to make a product that feeds into these theories, as we are beyond making a generic product work as that is backwards thinking.

Doing other directions is like not following directions on a cake mix, because you deemed them not normal – and then you complain because it came out less than right, after you changed the clear instructions.

The scalp’s natural oil production system has properties that need to be activated and circulation created or allowed, so your body can properly cleanse it. (Plugged up scalps have solidified oil in there that goes rancid; this is often why some people’s long hair up close smells like an old boot and their hairline on face and backs are pimply.) Any good oil, including your scalp’s own oil (if it is clean and not rancid) needs to flow and not be solidified into waxy plugs. (Honest… we have no conspiracy with your hot water provider.)

Our stuff works best with our instructions, because the instructions are made for the product – not because we never checked around or forgot to ask what hoops people need to go through to make some things do their job.

Our clients’ hair is long, healthy, growing, problem and odor-free, and our clients love to learn. Why mess with success?!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Not at all. Please DO YOUR BEST to wash on a daily basis, but LML will understand so long as we know you are trying. Better to miss a day than to not even try to do it daily. Trying always counts here; nobody is perfect but it’s close enough if you are making the effort.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Uniquely made by the guru long hair expert – but can be used on short hair too!

There are many criteria adhered to in the making of our special for long and growing hair lines, but it will be the best you have ever used on any hair. It is very, very different from other product lines on the market; it can be used daily, while most directions and “rules of thumb” are for harsher products and do not apply to ours – that better your hair the more you use it.

Use it often!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes, of course! If it is impossible to morning wash, then you will have to wash evenings. Do try to be consistent whatever you decide you must do. The body naturally cleanses in the morning, so it’s good to go with that; it kinda messes it about in the evening, but better than not using our stuff at all.

If you swim, washing twice a day is totally OK – if you want, twice as nice!!!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

NO.

Our clients don’t worry about such ideas.

Some types of women’s competitive ideas make others want to ‘even the score’. Don’t buy into it! The opinionators will just have to try harder on themselves, especially if you are naturally more attractive to the opposite sex visually AND as an independent thinker!

If you can’t stand the heat… get back in the kitchen?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A little help within reason, but hairstyling is NOT included in products prices. In fact, support was not calculated into any of our products prices, but she helps because of your common goal. The Non-Salon appointment is how and where members’ hair is done. Not only is it a little difficult to manage, it is unrealistic to think of doing hairstyling via the internet. Our clients developing shiny, full, soft, hair growth seem to have no problems dealing with their new and abundant hair. If your hair-past catches up with you, it is essential you see LML to get your hair set up longterm properly. (Seeing LMLonghairs exclusively as well as MagicPacking actually makes you a Platinum Longhairs® MagicPack Member, regardless of how long you can last between appointments here.) Save on reordering, help the environment, and save on postage by refilling when you come in – nevermind being safe from repeating localized ‘hair-accidents’. Those handy hair places are not to be frequented between LML visits; it is not necessary. And what is the point if it would not be done right?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I don’t feel it is; here’s why:

I am concerned about your being exposed to elecromagnetic fields around electronics at night, especially around the head (e.g. cellphones or any electricity) while it is plugged in, turned on or switched off. It’s bad for your cells, and your sleep pattern.

Let’s try to substitute something else, same effect.

The All-Canadian Touque Solution: plastic grocery bag (decal facing out) then slip a nice thick touque over it – tooooasty!!

This is a little louder till it settles in, but use a shiny-side-in mylar heat reflector blanket from emergency vehicle kits wrapped over a plastic bag, preferably a clear bag, and then a terry or cloth surgery cap, like a j-cloth material, over it all. It will heat up WAY hotter but WAY safer than a heat cap for overnight.

A heat cap can be used safely by heating it up on your head, then unplugging it for the duration of the time.

See our Sleepy Longhairs page for more!

One of the reasons Louise Marie Longhairs went to all the effort to create and share her products is just to make you happy, and if you are happy we are happy too! When you’re that different, you have to!

Our instructions were designed to produce the very best results (if you came to the studio, she would show you just how wonderfully these instructions do work) but until then enjoy what you are doing if it makes your hair happy. If not then let’s work on you understanding the instructions better, because the results are entirely reliant upon the method of use.

You alone are responsible for the results you get; we just provide the tools. If you want to not follow the given directions just for the sake of not being willing to open your mind, that would be a whole other story.

If you love it, well, you must be doing something right and here is credit for it. If you don’t, you know what you need to do.

Quick (10 minutes) meet n greet moment and pickup some great products days are booked in advance. She works best in an organized fashion (we all need her!) so if at all possible, please call first before showing up, and arrange this time so she can be ready for you. This is not a total consultation but a quick look and recommendation of products. If basic beginners products are bought, useful samples are often also shared at this point.

A hands-on treatment or a step-by-step product tutorial (if you need one, most don’t ) appointment can always be set up from there. Normally if you are just getting products a free checkup in 2 weeks time is offered after you’ve tried to do the routines on your own. Perhaps for a few pointers on use, or perhaps to add steps and oils if you are ready.

Some people find they can do start-ups on their own using our websites, and thus save the newbie session costs, though everyone is different; some people need to always be shown hands-on in great detail. (You usually know which you are.)

Lessons for using products can be arranged for a session day, people fly in for day or halfday. (Tuesday through Sundays) and booked in advance.

Best case scenarios?

Local :

It is easiest and often recommended for this particular type of client to first pick up what was used on them at the time of a scalp treatment or newbie hands-on appointment. Some but not all trim treatment  or consultations appointments or sessions are charged hourly and an quote before commencing is given first in person.

Fly-Ins Staying Local :

It is easiest and often recommended for this particular type of client to first pick up what should be used on them at the time of  arrival in town or book day 1 a scalp treatment ora full complete newbie hands-on appointment. same day or on a next day or so is fine. Some but not all trim treatment  or consultations appointments or sessions are charged hourly and an quote before commencing is given first in person.

She specializes in this actually – in completely turning that hair of yours around and teaching you how to love and care for your still-growing hair. It will amaze you how much difference you’ll see in your hair, growth condition, health and appearance in just one visit. You’ll be glad you came!

In fact, she can’t wait to help you! More people have this problem than you could imagine, so let’s not waste any more time!

Are you ready? Let’s begin to grow great hair; yes, even YOU can!!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Longhairs® trademarked quality hair therapy, scalp therapy, split end therapy, and even regular trims are very different situations that any salons’ quick-fix is a minimal snip off the ends – or cutting off the length you are working so hard to increase. Typical salon trims are often going to cause breakage, wear, and a need for the hair to try to correct itself, never mind the stress on hairs and hairlines.

What she’s seen coming in on her first-timers proves this.

With Longhairs® long hair services there are certain things that need to be done more than ‘just so’ and these tasks she does is NOT common knowledge.

There are things that need to be aligned, coaxed, shaped, and trained into the hair, and you need to trust Ms Louise Marie herself at your appointment as to what it will take to maintain the path you both have decided on.

Most hair salons pursue the opposite of what long hair actually needs, positioning the timing of their menial ‘dustings’  in order to make a constant flow of money – and so often removing all the growth that you’d gained since your last visit. Worse yet, some flash-in-the-pan new-idea long hair places are just cashing in on fads, or can be quite shockingly self-serving and strangely creepy in their motives.

Meanwhile, LMLonghair will do fascinating things, like putting in self-stimulating lines, building up strength, doing special angles to prevent frizz, encourage or discourage thickness, provide style, speed up grow-ins or grow-outs, alignments, re-alignments, dusting, and trimming. As well, checkups and free bangs trims are often included in the regular course of your visit.

Clients who must travel long distances can and will be set up so her work lasts as long as needed between visits, without clients doing any other trims in between – observing the motto:

LML or Nothing

Quickly dash that area of your hair or the Flexipick itself under the shower stream and continue.

Repeat this little trick as needed. It removes foam when your hair has finished eating the good out of that conditioner. It also rinses necessary new conditioner from above that rough point onto that needy area.

For detangling, keep the Flexipick horizontal and the hair mid-prong.

First, let us know you’re coming.

A) You can pick up a Beginners Kit (link opens new tab) in person and try on your own to learn how to use online with the tutorials.

or

B) You can pick up a Beginners kit in person and learn online with the tutorials along with a near-future appointment booked for a hands-on lesson.

or

C) You can pick up a Beginners kit in person during a hands-on lesson and treating appointment, so you can be shown first before you start using the products, which helps you learn the feel of what you are aiming for. Includes a free follow-up visit. (most effective)

or

D) You can come and pick up shampoo, conditioner, and Flexipick in any size, review the directions online and pop in for a free checkup or how-to appointment if needed.

You decide; whatever way you learn best will be fine with us.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes, because it is essential to the proper functioning of the water-conditioner exchange, as it is layered by strokes. We have taken the responsibility of providing a Flexipick (link opens new tab) for you so it works in an optimized way.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I try to teach the client to learn to recognize ‘satisfaction’ by using what it takes. Everyone’s hair is different and has different times and phases where it needs to be respected and listened to – catered to.

Seriously, if you must measure your conditioners, I’d say a good tablespoon or more of #10-A or #10-B’s and less of #17 Lilith. Two tablespoons or more of #19, and around three of #9.

But really, use enough to feel optimum texture, smooth and silky all over including scalp, and satisfied.

Then, unless it’s #19, Fexipick it throgh before rinsing.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Good question, and the answer is YES! I call that a re-juicing or the Double-Dip Trick.

This is how you do the Double-Dip Trick:

  1. Apply conditioner as usual in shower.
  2. Flexipick.
  3. After that, right after Flexipicking (according to instructions) and before rinsing out in the shower, add a drop or so more conditioner (Double-Dip Trick, because you’re double-dipping the conditioner).
  4. If you want your conditioning to sit for a bit, you can do this after the Double-Dip. Clip it up and let it sit while you do other shower duties.
  5. Then you can rinse.

The longer, older, and over-processed bottom-half of your hair will gratefully eat up an extra smoothing of conditioner just because of the nature of it. So do the Double-Dip Trick just before rinsing it all out. Most hair will benefit from a Double-Dip Trick for moisture, strengthening, smoothing, and extra-good closure, and it may help towards a no frizzies juicy shine.

Double-Dip Trick allows perfect arrangement of molecules after residual shampoo was squished out.

Always keep in mind that leaving first application on to soak in for a while before Flexipicking is NOT as effective as leaving first application on to soak in after Flexipicking. If you’re going to let it sit, wait until after you’ve Flexipicked it, and after the Double-Dip Trick if you are using it.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Sure, I’ve heard it used for a rather different feeling, not as shiny and soft – I’d rather the #10-Bs myself.

I can see it being used to slick hair back to dry hard, instead of gel or hairspray, for anyone, not just curly. I’ve tried it on clients myself. With this one, if it feels good, do it – but watch for symptoms! There are beneficial effects from doing this one, and if you like it, use it with discretion.

A great sunscreen for the hair in sun ‘n surf, or in pools under a swimcap.

Tip: do it on very wet hair and scrunch it in, starting at the bottom. Don’t comb or pick again afterwards. Scrunching is done to saturate #19 into ends and then massaging up the shaft to blend it to match the healthy hairs, but day-old feeling.

Because the nature of our products are so different than other lines, ours need to be used together for the best results. Our shampoos and conditioners (link opens new tab) were carefully and specifically made for each other, and interact together like a marriage or match made in heaven, therefore they are sold together.

Are you decidedly, categorically DRY?

Dry hair, as far as the hair products marketing racket goes, is a selling category (a symptom rather) and not a permanent condition. The mass-market products sell you a product that keeps you IN that category, so they can continue to market to your type.

‘Dry hair’ CAN BE and is fixed all the time by our line, being the opposite of what you are used to. Longhairs® products bring hair to normal, no matter where you started. We do not treat your current condition to keep it that way.

The ‘dry hair’ oxymoron is like ‘hungry people’ – once they are fed, ARE they still hungry people? No. With our stuff, you get progression to normal, and it takes as many different paths to get there as there are reasons for dry hair ending up titled as such. According to the market, almost everyone’s hair is categorized as dry, or rather it is dried out and with their products it stays that way.

Our clients who use our products properly don’t get dry-feeling hair.

Our clients and users don’t have ‘dry hair’ because the condition is corrected and the client is retrained. We move forward from there. See more below if you don’t understand this reasoning.

Before you read on, we are MANY years past being some sort of ‘theory’. We have 2 choices: to ‘market’ to you using your/their language, or to tell you the truth. Frankly our clients are very tired of marketing.

Face it, watch the news: people are in love with sensationalism. Click-words sell products, but they won’t fix your problem. What IS the problem? I ask you, can you be more specific? But can you? Is it ‘dry’ or does it feel terrible and that’s the definition you know. Market teaches you that terrible feeling hair is you not them; that’s your hair type.

Have you ever used a ‘dry hair’ category of shampoo or conditioner and had it cure it? I suspect not.

Is it washing that makes the hair ‘dry’? With other stuff very likely.

Depends what you use AND how you use it, both. Try not washing it, it gets more dry. Myth One, blown out of the water.

If it’s repelling water, does that make it ‘dry’? You bet.

Do people who swim in clean, fresh water every day get dry hair? No. Why is it that 99% of people out there have ‘dry hair’. Dry hair products and decidedly dry hair thinking, doesn’t accomplish a single thing. Perhaps that’s all there is out there; in fact it is all there is out there – that’s why you are here.

So let’s say the dryness is not an issue – oh but… but… it’s a general sell-word and people use it a lot. It’s not a constructive description of what may be happening to your hair. What else would, you ask? Try explaining it, think outside the box. What makes you think it is dry?

Try this: do you have symptoms? Yes, we can fix those things; but not illness, dryness, sleeplessness, cluelessness, fatness, skinnyness, hungriness – that one you know is malnutrition. But is malnutrition not eating right? not eating often enough? or simply hungriness? It is a symptom.

Words are not fixable without learning to work with detail.

Is it ‘dry’ in the shower? No – with our system water is your hair’s friend. So was it ‘dry’ when you were a child, ‘dry’ as an adolescent when you had pimples? Is your skin ‘dry’? Is your hair ‘dry’? Is your scalp ‘dry’? Is it ‘dry’ with oil on it? Is it ‘dry’ after weeks of no washing? Is it dry…

Try to realize, it’s not grease or oil it needs; oily hair attracts dirt and grit, and grit wears out your hair and gives split ends. You know that doesn’t fix it. Longhairs® does, but we have to fix you first. Turn off the T.V. thinking.

Second, realize the bachelor’s rule: dirty socks wear out faster than clean ones.

Third, the longer you go between washings, the drier your hair and scalp will be. If you use Longhairs® it gets more moist (when used as she directs).

We have done surveys, and 99% of the population thinks they are drying up. Who do they blame? Try it – ask them. Is it the products, methods, or myths? And did it help? No, I’m sure. Are they eating no fats? Don’t think so. Are they using shampoo that is not Longhairs®? Most definitely.

Targeting one myth: would washing your hair daily make it ‘dry’? Does washing your face or brushing your teeth make them ‘dry’? It’s what you get and what you do with it. Does watering plants daily make them dry?

Does hanging out with friends lead you into trouble and cause you to get no sleep? Only some do.

Does sex make you pregnant? Does more sex make you more pregnant? Does a little sex make you less pregnant?

If you like something, you’ll want to do it more often. You’ll make the time.

Now let’s get back to shampoo: Is oily hair less ‘dry’?…..

I persist… Does eating 6 meals a day make you fat, simply that? Ask a hypoglycemic, or a regular person on the same eating system. Will one meal a day of cake will make you fatter?

Washing with harsh crap WILL manage to make your hair drier for sure!

We have a line-up waiting for us to wash their hair 75 times with Longhairs®, and condition it a mere once, and it feels heavenly. That could prove my point: it would feel softer and more moist than ever. If it is not drying it out, one can continue doing it. It will be good, keep it up.

I’ve almost made my point, but will you believe me? No. If you believe what you hear from the herd, you can let your hair get greasy/drying out all the time and see how sad you’ll feel. It could start to smell too. It’s not necessary to think long hair is supposed to be always oily to the tips.

Our hair is maintained in a different manner, and you smell fresh and you shine!!

If something is made a certain way, say like our long hair stuff, just think – we wouldn’t be making it for this long if it was drying out hair! Think outside the box.

We wouldn’t advise you use our products a certain way if the results weren’t true. Think out of the box.

If you want dry hair, use that ol’ market dry hair-making shampoo. If you want to keep dry hair, don’t listen to Longhairs®. That’s right, if you want dry hair, don’t listen.

Use our stuff as directed. Don’t change the directions of a good thing because you ‘thought’ the instructions didn’t pertain to you, or doesn’t sound cookie-cutter typical.

Don’t misuse our wonderful stuff in order to feed the will to fail. We did not omit testing on your individual hair type. Many years later – and no, all the clients here don’t have hair exactly like Ms LML, so don’t mess with success.

Learn how to learn.

Technique is one thing (it matters in sex too) and the facts and then practice are another.

Here, if you don’t use it right, it’s like sex; it may not feel as right as it could. It’s not the equipment at fault, and it’s not the product.

Don’t bet your money on staying dry-haired around here; you could lose the bet. This technique does not apply to other product lines. Other products will still likely ruin your hair if used as often as once a week – we are sooooo different!!

Long hair is not ‘dry’ hair. But it does show you the linitations of what they can do.

Dry hair shampoo doesn’t fix ‘dry’ hair; people do. Longhairs® does all the time, every time.

And diet foods are not for those who are slim. Think about it; hungry people are not hungry when you feed them well and often. And hair? Don’t deny yourself all the pampering of 20 minutes a day. For hungry hair, no oil masking malnutrition. MagicPack feeds you well.

95% of ‘dry’ hair that comes in is incorrectly labeled and treated before coming to Longhairs®.

Come and get your situation corrected, regardless what it is called. If you want it fixed, we are here. If not, sorry about your hair’s luck; maybe someday you’ll have lucky hair that gets brought here.

Natural and wonderful!! More than half of our clientele/users are men (not counting your husbands, fathers, brothers, and sons). It seems that both long and short haired men know what they like, and get it, unlike women who are used to being marketed to constantly. No artificial perfumes; our products smell like what they are made of – and thus some pets love to eat our stuff (with no adverse effects!!).

Why not try a non-member Surprise Basket in any denomination, to add spice to your Duo; then see if you can get his nose out of your hair! Great, clean smell! Folks with sensitivities flock to our stuff, knowing they won’t smell like a chick magazine, for sure!

By ordering and maintaining the Longhairs® Hairgasm® MagicPack® (link opens new tab) and keeping it up-to-date.

You will need to fill out the More About You Form with as much useful detail as you can (more info is going to help her help you more).

You will be asked to send over some photos, which will be stored in your personal file and only seen by Louise Marie. These photos should be of sufficient quality to allow her to zoom in, and should include:

  1. full face from the front,
  2. one from each side, with at least one showing the hairline,
  3. full length from the back,
  4. from above, showing the scalp parting.

No, you don’t need to rinse out your pre-treat before #18-ing. It is usually dried by morning and doesn’t goop the scalp at all. The coast should be clear for a clean application of #18, and any sweat is OK to Scritch over.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes, but #12 Protein Spray is only needed once in a while, for before or after seriously damaging chemical work (such as relaxing, foil highlighting, etc.), or once every few months on newly processed hair as a reinforcer, or when Louise Marie recommends it for a specific situation (hence the name “Prescription Spray”). Never use #12 after #13-A Blisstips Oil. This spray is like an emergency kit item; not used regularly, but when you do need it, you won’t have to wait while we send it.

Mist sparingly for coverage of fragile areas (or squirt into end tuft) that need proteins replaced because they have been somehow traumatized.

Favorite uses for #12 Protein Prescription Spray:

  • in-shower before #9 Trees is applied,
  • during application of #19 Honey Bee pre-treat, (not the regularly used pre-treat) and only when hair is wet enough to accept it,
  • when chemical work is being done before the application of a perm neutralizer.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

You should be pre-treating (that’s the overnight one on dry hair, where you wash as usual in the morning) from the bottom up by working in your pre-treat product – massaging upwards, and then smoothing in a downward motion, layering with water. Focus on needy areas and ends (which are always needy) first and go up as far as you need to; there is no need to pre-treat your scalp. Try to learn how to tell by feel where extra is needed and not over help areas where that extra care is not necessary.

Re-treating (after the shower on wet hair) is done in the same way, from the bottom up. (No need to re-wet hair or apply in layers.)

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Absolutely! There are no restrictions for use, other than that the comb you use for scritching needs to be one of the finer ones (regardless of the thickness of your hair). The categories we use are just options – the most common usage of the different combs.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Some of you are applying way too much pre-treat, and too high up, not knowing why we do it. The idea is to end up with an even texture all over, adding nutrients where wear has taken place (usually old ends, and maybe a bit on the longer surfaces if needed). Definitely do not pre-treat indiscriminately all the way up the head – is the hair fried there? old? in need of restructuring? Your scalp’s pre-treat is #18 SOS Scalp Oil just before your shower.

Run your hands through your hair until your fingers stop, near the bottom few inches. That is the top of where you’ll apply pre-treat. Dampen your hair, then take a dab of your pre-treat and massage it into hair ends and smooth downwards. Move up bit by bit, layering with water, until you can’t feel a border between above and below, tapering out. Finish with a final layer of water.

Don’t forget to check our Re-Treating/Pre-Treating chart to make sure your efforts are rewarded!

Of course there is a huuuge world of difference in ingredients goals needs and results.

Add on to that note..see a list of what she does not use..

‘Natural’ and ‘Organic’ is what we feel, is the way everything should just ‘be’ anyway. This is Long Hair Specialty Focus and Expertise at its best…without considering ‘natural’ as a bonus. Simply organic or ‘natural’ is not the the only credential necessary to make specialized  product ‘for long hair’.

Longhairs® specializes in making ‘natural’ products for long hair (link opens new tab) – special product, special purpose, special instructions.

Don’t confuse ‘natural’ (a sales pitch word) with ‘good for your needs’. Does ‘natural’ actually tell you anything, e.g. natural beef, natural bread, made with natural flour, natural rosemary (is there non-natural rosemary?), and does everything ‘natural’ in the world belong in one classification? Does it belong on your hair? Is it good for long hair?

Ask us if there is a way to get you some Samples… we would be happy to share some of what she says you need:-)

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

When you worked out before, did you feel the need to wash your hair? If so, do the whole kit-n-kaboodle, with the #18 SOS (it’s fine used on a sweaty scalp). If you don’t want to have a full shower, simply use #26 Chillout to detox post-workout and wait to wash in the morning.

The #18 and my shampoos were made for each other, so wash as often as you want – provided you keep the routines together. If you’re MagicPacking, a day is a day is a day; no matter how many times you washed, it’s still one rotation.

It is because our products are so profound and our ingredients are secret. It’s not just what is used, it’s how it’s used.

Producing a great product for a specific audience and for good people often involves trust – trust not found in corporations that own most hair product lines.

In Canada our quality controls protect us and are not designed to entirely shift responsibility to the individual to protect themselves. Did you know that in some places folks are agreeing to the label they buy without knowing what most of these ingredients are at an average consumers level of understanding?

Our clients simply relax and enjoy. Our clients are tired of reading bottles with flowery language-ed ingredient lists that don’t help when the product doesn’t work, or fools you by sounding natural. For what we don’t use and more details, kindly see what ingredients we don’t ever use in the making of any of our products.

Commitment will come naturally with time if you love our products. Trust yourself, enjoy – and when you are getting bored, you may want to play with a Surprise Kit (random things are chosen, like a sampler or a pre-MagicPack cruise if you like).

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

#19 Honey Bee is NOT supposed to be combed through with the Flexipick, and that’s why you can’t.

If I put any detangler in it, it would not go into the hair structure as deep (the proteins penetrate totally on their own) and you couldn’t use it as a skin conditioner. The #9 Trees does the closing and detangling for the #19 Honey Bee treatment, and also provides the oils.

It consists of our dear Louise Marie Longhairs®! With your Longhairs® MagicPack® she will be by your side, helping you along the way, busily setting everything up, doing tests, supervising the online diary notes you’ll keep, and prescribing as you evolve. Support for Longhairs® MagicPack® members it is at no extra cost. She is a personal hair trainer, teacher, coach, and tutor, but not a waitress. She always puts a lot of effort towards your technique, individualizing and customizing the use of your full MagicPack® kit (link opens new tab) to get the best results possible from the tools and products you have invested in. We think of the MagicPack® like a palette, and endeavor to help you learn to paint artistically, not at all like a paint-by-number. Louise Marie understands the initial, overwhelming feeling of the ‘full fridge’ and one of the benefits of the MagicPack® is that you won’t feel you need extra products – products that may be secretly damaging your hair.

The MagicPack® is not sold as you go, and none of the Hairgasm® products (link opens new window) are sold in any stores – because Louise Marie Longhairs® comes with it!

• when chemical work is being done before the application of a perm neutralizer.

Absolutely not! We are, in fact, vegetarian/vegan listed. No animal testing whatsoever, and most folks test our products on themselves before using them on their pets. Cruelty-free and non-animal-tested are rules Longhairs® has always honoured, and we have implemented in the making of all of our products.

#19 Honey Bee is cruelty-free honey sourced from a man who LOVES his bees. I believe it is my duty to know the bee-source personally.

Our Kinder Brushes made from boar bristles and/or quills are cruelty-free sourced as well; they are sheared from a live boar and/or discarded by a porcupine more than willingly (ouch for receiver!).

The best coverage for #27 Chillout Spray is achieved by spraying your scalp in 1 inch partings from the top of your head and down the sides to the nape. Spray from 6 inches away on to areas to be treated. Full scalp coverage should be done at least every other time you do #18 , and reapply anytime to balance skin or scalp discrepancies.

Simply spray #27 Chillout on your scalp; no need to scrub it in. #27 Chillout Spray is instantly self-penetrating if you’ve done a good job with your #18 SOS Scalp Oil scrub. Keep applying every few moments until a cool feeling is maintained.

Our special Longhairs® Kinder Brushes will increase hair’s shine, manageability, strength, and circulation. They keep dust from causing tangles and aid in the removal of dead hair, leading to better regrowth and also less deadwood to soak up the moisture balance. Our bristles are hand-set in a way that feels quite sensual. Most uniquely, when used in conjunction with our Longhairs® Hairgasm® products (link opens new tab), the Kinder Brushes create ionic charges (which are also anti-static) that gently conduct stimulating charges to the roots via the shaft – this is why it’s necessary to follow through to the ends. These charges do many things, one of which is to soothingly stimulate blood flow (helps with headaches!).

Proper use: Brush your lengths with our Kinder Brush from top to bottom, scalp to tips. When reaching chest length, press full sheets of hair to your body for support and continue down, pressing gently with each stroke. With your other hand, follow along behind the brush, using your body as a conductor and a ground. It also stops you from raking. Our brushes have zero resistance, and each one has a purpose.

Try a puff of Hairgasm® #11 Magic Spray on your brush. You’ll find it very enjoyable and beneficial to your hair.

Other brushes definitely don’t do all this. Other brushes, especially poorly made yet expensively marketed brushes, cause dangerous discrepancies in shaft diameter, inconsistencies in texture, buildup, dryness, and way too much pull and drag. This is why many longhairs only use combs, but you’re safe to brush with us!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Use nothing on your horn comb to treat it but lanolin, preferably our unsulfonated lanolin, because it is from the same animal – a sister to the horn, you might say. Oil is not just oil, and it is not a matter of being ‘good’; the oil must be correct – and yes, it does matter. Lanolin somewhat waterproofs and seals the horn comb. Any other soaking will make the comb swell, thus ruining it. (Read our Horn Comb tutorial carefully!)

Never get your horn comb wet! Never keep it by your sink or in the bathroom!

It’s what we use to enhance and complete the rinsing, detangling, and conditioning process in the shower. It lets water through, which is needed in order to use our line correctly. For best results, see our Flexipick tutorial.

Take a soft, damp towel and gently (without twisting) wipe the comb clean.

To do this easily and best, pinch the damp towel or facecloth over the tines, starting at the spine and pull outwards (away from tines) repeatedly. Use a clean area of the towel or facecloth every time. An old toothbrush, nail brush, or old natural bristle hairbrush will remove the remaining oil from between the tines.

Why should you use a damp towel when the comb needs to be kept dry? Because lint from a dry towel will stick to the excess oil, whereas a damp towel will keep its lint to itself. Lanolin this fresh provides a barrier that water doesn’t penetrate, though eventually the horn comb will become sensitive to moisture again.

It is the closest to water that these combs can and should get.

See our Horn Comb tutorial for more!

The first number (325 in this example) is the comb design.

The second number (12, or 3 in this example) is the thickness of the comb in that design.

The letter on the end (W in this example) stands for the color – this comb design comes in White, as opposed to Ox, which would be B.

You can learn more about using our horn combs or purchase one (opens in new tab) immediately!

Welllll… for one as a company we are not allowed to participate but thats ok, what’s not ok is that well-speakers are accused of selling or spying… plants they call them.. For two.. Sometimes some people somewhere get or got a bit poopy about some things… sometimes it’s the b-factor… and sometimes it’s just complicated…sometimes a self-appointed ‘I failed… it’s not for meee’ trophy. Yes often it is a little juicy conspiracy to give us bad press because that’s trollers, it’s their job to thrive on necessary-negativity stories…you know it happens to the best of us.

Somehow we apparently stole someone’s thunder out there without even trying to- just by being there and being an inventor a creator not a sheeple company. Oh well, what can you do? You’re here at your right time anyway. ‘When the student is ready, the teacher…’ oh, you know the saying.

We are simply a hard-working company making amazing organic and revolutionary products and goodies for all – and no time for messing around.

At Longhairs® Hairgasm® Long & Growing Hair®, we don’t gift-out product for reviews nor do we payoff to get mention.. aka pay-to-play. There are also internet bullies that have tried to play bait-and-switch games with our dedicated clients (well, it IS the internet and it’s like the Wild West) so we just choose to stay focused on our goals and avoid the confusion. We’ll get to the right people at the right time and we believe in that.

We do not subscribe to the notion that a woman’s experiences in hair or fashion or life are limited to how far her arm can reach or confined to the limits of her own personal appearance and attributes. This only reinforces the (mistaken) idea that a woman can’t work on anyone who differs from herself. It is a way to sort, categorize, and group women in order to control them, and this is a rut that some women fall into. It’s not very pretty sometimes.

This phenomenon of sorting themselves in and sorting themselves out, mysteriously does not apply to male nature. Sadly it often belongs to a limited-thinking world that women often believe… that men are allowed to specialize in anything and everything they like (even things they do not themselves have or wear). This old-world, woman-repressive thinking still exists, mostly for the purpose of employing women to control other women. LMLonghairs is a brave soul; she has always avoided the limitations put on her by these types of women. Often they are insecure and feel the need to bring successful females down to size, or bring them down a few pegs, and use expressions like too big for her britches (that word has an ‘r’ in it). Sometimes women don’t hear of the Longhairs® Hairgasm® establishment or Hairgasm® products from where one might imagine are most likely places because of the controlling and competitive nature of this small percentage of women in topic-related communities.

See Activism link and Determined To Fail FA-Q (yes….calling them on it…) We tell you how it is and support our products.  Those who decidedly fail and are proud of the fact in order to post negativity online reserve the right to do so. So we now reserve the right to adress the issue. These folks we notice never asked for support usually never wanted our directions and don’t reply to support emails if they ever do communicate.

No life never promised to be fair… eventhough we did spend a lifetime creating designing long haired solutions with 40 plus years of expertise firsthand and are still at the forefront trying awfully hard to help the best of people. But hey there is all kinds that click ‘buy now’.

Our clients may have any variation of anything they like – there is ALWAYS a way. The rumor of no bangs on long hair is conformist, boring, and old-school. It is often someone’s stylist’s personal opinion taking over.

Louise Marie is an artist, and a long hair expert who works on an individual assessment basis. She certainly CAN make anything work, if all aspects of a client’s individual situation are taken into consideration. She is certainly not going to impose conformity when there is so much fun to be had with a frame, bangs, fullness, detailing, or fringe.

Louise Marie’s extensive experience and creativity of style reaches certain kinds of folks who are farther beyond a bun or updo, and options are Non-Salon-ish and astounding and exciting.

Services by Louise Marie Longhairs are available by appointment only.

Newbie appointments/treatments are often done as the last session in the day (so there’s no pressure and no rushing) but she can be flexible. Time frame is 6 pm or last booking, around 7-8 pm. Afternoons are also available. Newbies are advised to fill out the Tell Us More About You form before requesting your appointment, as it will give you better value during your session.

Newbie or non-member 1/2 hour consultations without same-day purchase of recommended products (or attached to/preceding that day’s session) are charged $75 plus tax. Getting a session, trim, etc. or buying startup kits – no charge for consultation.

Quotes, starting prices, and such are NOT discussed over the phone or email, but we do take cash, Amex, Visa, Mastercard, and Interac.

Highlights and colour are not normally done on people who are not yet (or not at all) pursuing Longhairs products unless they start using them 1-2 weeks before their colouring or highlighting appointment. Not at all. Please DO YOUR BEST to wash on a daily basis, but LML will understand so long as we know you are trying. Better to miss a day than to not even try to do it daily. Trying always counts here; nobody is perfect but it’s close enough if you are making the effort.

Works very well! (No apologies for the untypical-ness of our ways!)

The ‘palette’ of these 15 different shampoos belongs to the largest kit – not the simple -kits – and is called a MagicPack (link opens new tab).  The Magicpack contains all the different properties and principals you need to help get the amazing ‘customized to the individual’ results. Each shampoo is used 3 days in a row and then switched to the next number lined up for you. This numbered list, called a shampoo rotation, will be sent to you once you purchase your MagicPack. You don’t need to worry about what to do, why, or when with this set of shampoos.

Personal opinion: I like it; it’s pretty.

My professional advice: on the average person has a very narrow window of success.

Henna is natural, and it does many things – some good, but mostly I find that it’s quite intrusive. Henna does have it’s purposes, but only on virgin and hair in immaculate condition. Henna is not a colouring alternative, although in the beginning the colors can be very stunning.

Sometimes henna proves to be rather short term thinking for long hair that is a a long term thing with us. If you want to do what’s healthiest, it’s not the first thing to change towards a healthy path because henna can, and often does, prevent the absorption of water and proper conditioning components.

When the colour from it is gone, the henna is still there (it’s wax). Even henna that’s colorless can have permanent residual results. It is a sealer, like a waxy substance left on the surface of the little scales of your hair shaft. It seals it so that it stays in whatever condition it was previously in. Once this coating is deposited on the hair shaft, it wears out unevenly and gets rough. Thus the only way to keep the hair shaft smooth after henna is to either re-apply it (more residue), or spend ages with my guidance and products to remove it. We have several supervised and successful users.

Henna? Let’s just not do it, but discuss with me if you have a shine problem. You have the tools you need in your MagicPack (link opens new tab).

No! Please! We’re not shooting drugstore shampoo commercials here, so let’s look at this logically: this is done for show on TV. It doesn’t work for long hair; it’s what shorthairs do. If you do wash this way, your hair will tangle badly, so please don’t stack the hair when you shampoo (or condition for that matter!). Just leave your hair hanging down and pat-pat-pat, squish-squish-squish, and massage to get the product evenly through before rinsing and repeating (see Shampoo Application Method).

Right before it dries, twist your hair in one single twist (or two piggies), and hang it down your back wrapped in a zip-up fleece hoodie, and by the time you get to work, the kick will be out your of the curl.

Ask me to show you in person how the African Queens solve questions like this, but more elegantly with a Pashmina.

Fifteen minutes to an hour and length is regained!!

Also, you can Smooth-Comb before toweling as you get out of the shower; it makes quite a difference in curl, as does putting it in buns on each side of your head when almost dry.

Hair with our products (opens new window) responds quickly and well to any ‘forming activities’ that you might wish to do.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

No, that’s only with vegetables and macaroni!

We have a perfectly-timed product closure time and effects that other (build-up) products need to be forced into. Just say “NO” to cool rinses! It is not recommended as we get plenty of shine without it.

And no, doing it anyway (the ‘more is better’ approach) will not give you even more shine. The important ingredients in the Longhairs® products (link opens new window) will not soak in right or fall into place in the right times if you do a cool rinse; we just don’t need that sort of ‘help’ like your old products did.

Pull your hair smoothly across the back of the head from the side where your swirly crown resides and over to the opposite side.

Try switching sides periodically for a few nights each month to rest the roots.

The Pocahontas-style ponytail (also called a caterpillar braid) should be terry-tied every few inches starting right behind the ear lobe, so sleeping on that side puts the hairtie flush in the nook below the jaw-joint.

This is done after brushing with our Kinder Brushes and after pre-treating. See our Sleepy Longhairs page!

Hot rollers are probably the least harmful of the heat tools, and it’s hard to do anything wrong with these when using our products. Hot rollers are definitely better to use than a styling tool that gets hotter and hotter; hot rollers go in hot and cool down.

With almost all of the hair care products that are available, any hot roller use would be a problem, possibly causing burning, crackling, splitting, drying out the hair, etc.. However, with the ingredients we use in our Longhairs® products, if they are used diligently and exclusively, you can use hot rollers all you want.

Try a puff of #11 Magic Spray on the hair upon rolling or after removing the rollers, before hair cools completely.

All hair, not just problematic or textured hair, gets best results with 5 latherings.

5 latherings is better than 4, and 4 latherings is better than 3 – for all kinds of reasons.

Twice? Only if you’ve already washed that day.

Three latherings and more provide shine, moisture retention, adds nutrients, and balances, with strength and shine galore! Why not continue a good thing? If your teeth and gums are fine, do you stop flossing? Carry on, and if time doesn’t permit, I guess doing your best is the best you can do. Having said that, if you are not satisfied with the results of fewer lathers, or start to have problems, the number of latherings will be the first thing to change/correct.

Yes! Brushing with our Longhairs® Kinder Brush with a puff of  our #11 Magic Spray on dry brush dry hair actually removes dead hairs as well as gently exercising roots by pulling evenly. Dead hairs left there will spoil your curl long term, so yes, but only before pre-treating at night. Overnight your hairs will rearrange the bonds in the shaft to curl correctly.

Just brush enough to get the job done – definitely not 100 strokes! (That is a bit ‘old school’ and is not necessary with our system.) Brushing before pre-treating makes the pre-treat much easier to apply and therefore much more effective.

Not at all. Please DO YOUR BEST to wash on a daily basis, but LML will understand so long as we know you are trying. Better to miss a day than to not even try to do it daily. Trying always counts here; nobody is perfect but it’s close enough if you are making the effort.

Commitment will come naturally with time if you love our products. Trust yourself, enjoy – and when you are getting bored, you may want to play with a Surprise Kit (random things are chosen, like a sampler or a pre-MagicPack cruise if you like).

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Becoming a member is using the MagicPack as a whole as Louise Marie directs, and not as a sampler. The MagicPack system helps create and maintain a healthy scalp and strong hair (link opens new tab). Membership is having what you want, and it keeps working forever! It’s totally not a ‘drugstore’ situation of a few categories. MagicPack and everything inside it has a flow with interacting combinations.

Everything your long haired heart desires, in a healthy, organic way. Better, faster hair growth, optimum hair shine, feel, and behavior. Longhairs® complete system works as hard as you do, providing for all the needs of growing and maintaining your hair.

If you have allergies or sensitivities, please let us know before you order the MagicPack® and we’ll be glad to work with you to make sure you get the best results possible without irritating your skin.

MagicPacking is designed for customizable results (cooperation with our clients is important!) and loads of fun, while we are gradually creating your environment. Does it help the hair grow faster? But of course! Attentive daily care with our MagicPackis a personal and beautiful hair science. Longhairs who love to pamper their hair and have a deeply caring mindset love to do MagicPack! How well it works depends on the mentality or mindset of the client.

Product addicts are also satisfied by this system because it offers a new feeling every time if you wish. A MagicPack® lifestyle works toward your goals for the textures and therapeutic effects actively growing hair needs. It is rocket science for great long hair, and for looking great while it gets there. Don’t let your long hair goals go to rest on a simple routine; there isn’t one answer to long hair problems or care.

Healthy Longhairs® and MagicPack® hair comes out of the shower wetter and dries faster; all the moisture is retained inside the hair instead of replaced by a stifling residue – a noticeable difference.

Longhairs® MagicPack® products fix and prevent many long hair problems (link opens new tab), and your hair will evolve beautifully. As residues disappear, and the work remains internal to the hair, MagicPack® components will help the hair through it’s many stages to optimum health and growth. Our clients are 100% supported, depending on the level of your mutual cooperation (support is voluntary and complimentary by Louise Marie and may reach reasonable limits), and they enjoy the time it takes for long hair that grows in perfectly.

It is possible that you have a lot of old hair not grown in with Longhairs® products, and this will take TLC and building to bring it up to par.

MagicPackers® get better blow-drying results due to the hair drying more evenly, with less heat needed. Fast and fun from getting up in the morning, to getting on your way, to shine all day.

…and WAAAY more!

It’s for those who want it all! It’s the set of everything your hair needs (link opens new tab) and what Louise Marie uses with her clients to provide a well-rounded diet for hair, skin, and scalp, and the future of these in promotion and support of longer, better hair. Not excessive or frivolous, more like ‘a fridge full of food to cook with’, as opposed to a typical approach of one piece at a time (called a ‘supply to prescribe from’) for those who have better things to do than constantly shop for needs a piece at a time. We get stuff done, restocking as needed, and we are planning ahead. What a relief!!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The MagicPack® routine (link opens new tab) is focused on the shampoo component; you can use whatever conditioner you feel your hair wants/needs. Louise Marie Longhairs® builds a unique shampoo rotation list specific to you. You’ll use one shampoo 3 times in a row and then switch to the next one on the list.

For example, your list might be: #2, #5, #26, #8, #2, #1, #6, #24, #2…etc., and then you start over at the beginning once you’ve reached the end.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

When you run out of a component it may be reordered (link opens new tab) accordingly, for your convenience. It’s always better when you plan ahead. Small reorders may seem frugal, but it can make things more complicated and less economical. Once you get familiar with usages, you should order up, and, of course, ahead. Maintain your supply, don’t run out, and then don’t worry. To avoid any feelings of ‘product-supply-anxiety’ from affecting how much you use along the way, reorder larger sizes, or come and refill your MagicPack® and empty containers and relax.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes of course! After you order your MagicPack® (link opens new tab) Louise Marie will customize both the procedure and use to you and be your coach. You will enjoy her expertise, mostly done over a few months in your diary. She is ready to read all of your posts in this private diary.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

You are welcome to use your MagicPack® forever, for as long as you wish to grow or maintain your long, healthy hair. We archive volumes of your diary so you can review (and learn from) your progress over time.

Support for Members is free, as long as you maintain your Longhairs® MagicPack® supply (link opens in new tab) in its entirety, and you will have this free support for as long as you like.

Louise Marie Longhairs® allows and feeds your long hair care relationship for as long as you wish – happily!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Because it just doesn’t work out; it is not enough product to actually get a grip on things before product-anxiety and the need to reorder (link opens new tab) kicks in. It becomes close to ‘over’ too soon, so inevitably reordering comes all at once. You switch the shampoos independently of the conditioners and oils, so reordering is just a few things in stock-up sizes.

If you want a shorter commitment, try a Longhairs® BTN Duo Beginners Kit – and perhaps add a non-Member Surprise Basket in any denomination to add spice to your Duo!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Always SmoothComb FIRST then re-treat – never the other way around. You only need the RT to go where it was put, not smearing all over where it isn’t needed.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

All hair, not just problematic or textured hair, gets best results with 5 latherings.

5 latherings is better than 4, and 4 latherings is better than 3 – for all kinds of reasons.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yes, but it will only be ok until the hair tires of it; then it won’t like it anymore as a re-treat. Hair that doesn’t have this situation doesn’t crave it.

Using it too much #9 Trees will simply not work out well, but if you need it your hair will like it.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

When using #19 Honey Bee, you can use either a hot towel that is wet or one that is dry. Try putting a plastic bag over your hair, followed by foil (shiny side in), and then turban either a hot, wet towel or a hot, dry towel on top.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

#19 Honey Bee is made to be used as the first part of a 2-part deep treatment on wet, clean, washed hair. Never use #19 on dry/not-wet hair (so never pre-treat with #19); only use on wet hair, and always follow #19 with #9 Trees in the same session.

Use 2 tbsp or more twice a week or twice every week-and-a-half, before rinsing and applying 2 tbsp of #9 Trees. Do not comb your hair until #19 has been rinsed out and #9 is being used; then you may detangle while Flexipicking in-shower.

You may sleep with it still in your hair as a deep treat (applied on still-wet hair after washing), then rinse out and finish by using #9 in the morning.

#19 Honey Bee also works great as a skin moisturizer (no need to use #9 as a follow-up).

Try wrapping your scalp with a plastic bag with our specially designed hair towel on top to keep it warm, and kick back in the tub for a soak before rinsing out in the shower as above (followed by #9).

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

There are no numbers carved in stone for this; you need to listen to your hair for each of the conditioners, not just randomly switch for no particular reason. When you switch too often the conditioner doesn’t have enough time to work.

Use one conditioner until you learn how to tell if it’s taken.

Your main, staple conditioners are the #10-Bs, #9 Trees (by itself), and #19 Honey Bee & #9 Trees (together) and should be used more often and for longer stretches than any of the others. Pepper in the use of #10-A Protein Deep Oil Treatment occasionally for a day or two, and #17 Lilith as a treat for a day or two, but your primary go-to conditioner should be one of the #10-Bs.

Pay more attention to your conditioning, and slow down; bouncing around from one product to another quickly might make hair tangly (it doesn’t like too much excitement).

Have fun, but also listen to your hair.

Questions About Scritchers Horn Combs (7)

No, you don’t need to rinse out your pre-treat before #18-ing. It is usually dried by morning and doesn’t goop the scalp at all. The coast should be clear for a clean application of #18, and any sweat is OK to Scritch over.

Absolutely! There are no restrictions for use, other than that the comb you use for scritching needs to be one of the finer ones (regardless of the thickness of your hair). The categories we use are just options – the most common usage of the different combs.

The first number (325 in this example) is the comb design.

The second number (12, or 3 in this example) is the thickness of the comb in that design.

The letter on the end (W in this example) stands for the color – this comb design comes in White, as opposed to Ox, which would be B.
